Qatar National Day celebrations at Darb Al Saai conclude
اختتام فعاليات يوم قطر الوطني في درب الساعي
DOHA: The activities of Qatar National Day celebrations at Darb Al Saai concluded yesterday. The nine-day event was organised by the Organising Committee of the QND celebrations under a slogan of this year’s celebration ‘Al Maali Kaydah’, which means the path of excellence is arduous, taken from the poetry of the Founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani.
The Committee had also prepared Doha Corniche to receive the public to enjoy watching the national parade, which was the largest national parade in the history of the country, in coordination with partners and the concerned authorities.
The activities are aimed at achieving the vision of Qatar National Day, by promoting loyalty, solidarity, unity and pride in the Qatari national identity, which is embodied by the celebrations of the QND of the State on December 18, in commemoration of the establishment of Qatar by the Founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani.
The activities of QND celebrations at Darb Saai were held in an environment filled with national spirit, with the participation of many different state agencies, including the Ministry of Culture and Sports, which participated for the first time in the activities this year, in addition to the participation of a team of volunteers in the sisterly state of Kuwait, within the ‘Team of Leaders’ to participate in organising the events.
The events witnessed multiple visits by senior officials and personalities, in addition to a large number of citizens, expatriates, and visitors of different age groups, with remarkable interaction on their part with these activities.
Darb Al Saai also witnessed the announcement of the results of the educational sector activities for the celebrations of the QND 2019, and honouring of the winners from the male and female participants, who represent the government and private schools.
Among the new activities at Darb Al Saai this year was Diwan Al Adam, poetry reciting sessions to encourage local poets to express their feeling of loyalty to their homeland. The committee prepared the official gift for this year, which reflects the noble Qatari heritage to create awareness among children about their heritage and traditions.
The celebrations of QND on the Doha Corniche attracted large number of citizens and expatriates and tourists from Arab and foreign countries.
ودّع درب الساعي محبيه، أمس، في اليوم الأخير من فعاليات المهرجان، الذي يأتي كأحد أبرز مظاهر الاحتفال باليوم الوطني، حيث استقبلت فعاليات المهرجان عشرات الآلاف من المواطنين والمقيمين على حدٍّ سواء، وضمّت فعاليات المهرجان الكثير من البرامج التي تعمل على تحقيق رؤية اليوم الوطني، وذلك بتعزيز الولاء والتكاتف والوحدة والاعتزاز بالهوية الوطنيّة القطريّة، وهو ما تجسّده احتفالات اليوم الوطني كلّ عام إحياءً لذكرى تولّي مؤسس الدولة الشيخ جاسم بن محمد بن ثاني الحكم في البلاد.
تأتي وزارة الداخلية في مقدمة أبرز الجهات التي حرصت على تسجيل حضور قوي في درب الساعي هذا العام، حيث شاركت عدّة إدارات في المهرجان، من بينها: الإدارة العامة للمرور، والإدارة العامة للدفاع المدني، والإدارة العامة لأمن السواحل والحدود، والإدارة العامة للمباحث الجنائية، وغيرها من الإدارات التي حرصت على توعية الجمهور بدورها في المجتمع.
واحتضن درب الساعي هذا العام العديد من الفعاليات والجهات المشاركة، ومن أهمها: فعاليات القطاع التعليمي، والتي جاءت انطلاقاً من تعزيز اللجنة المنظمة لاحتفالات اليوم الوطني المشاركة مع الجهات المختصة، وتهدف فعاليات القطاع التعليمي إلى تعزيز قيمة مشاركة طلبة المدارس من كل المراحل العمرية ضمن مشاركتهم في الأنشطة والفعاليات المتنوعة التي تنظّمها اللجنة، وارتكزت على تعزيز علاقة الجيل الحالي بإرثه الثقافي والوطني وتهيئتهم لممارسة أدوارهم في بناء الوطن، وفي المحافظة على عادات أهل قطر وتقاليدهم التراثية.
وتعدّ مؤسسة قطر للتربية والعلوم وتنمية المجتمع من أبرز المؤسسات التي سجّلت حضورها خلال درب الساعي هذا العام، وارتكزت كل الأنشطة التي قدّمتها مؤسسة قطر على تعزيز ثقافة التميّز والابتكار في مجتمع دولة قطر المنفتح، وغرس الطموح في أبنائه، لتحويل اقتصاد دولة قطر إلى اقتصاد قائم على المعرفة، عبر الارتقاء بالقدرات البشرية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية المستدامة.
أما جامعة قطر، فقد حرصت على المشاركة في فعاليات درب الساعي، انطلاقاً من دورها كإحدى المؤسسات الرائدة في مجال التميّز الأكاديمي والبحثي في المنطقة. وكان لحضور «قطر الخيرية» صدى واسع، حيث حرصت الجمعية على تخصيص مجموعة من الفعاليات والمسابقات المتنوعة للأطفال والكبار، وربطها باليوم الوطني من منظور العمل الإنساني، بالإضافة إلى الاهتمام بالموروث الثقافي والتراثي، وحرصت أيضاً على التعريف بنجوم العمل الإنساني والمجتمعي، ودعوة أفراد المجتمع للحذو على طريقتهم، كما يطّلع الجمهور على المجتمعات الخارجية، ودور أهل قطر في العمل الإنساني.
