Chances of scattered rain until QND; drop in temperature expected
فرص هطول أمطار متفرقة حتى يوم قطر الوطني؛ وتوقع انخفاض في درجة الحرارة
Doha: Scattered rain that may become thundery is expected to continue for the next two days, reported Qatar Meteorology Department in its report.
The report stated that today, December 16, there will be rain accompanied by a sudden strong wind that will lead to low visibility. This will continue on December 17 with light and scattered rain. Meanwhile on Qatar National Day, December 18, there is an increased chance of rain, especially in the northern part of the country.
Fresh to strong Northwesterly wind is expected to start from Tuesday until the beginning of next week due to the extension of high pressure. This will cause a noticeable drop in temperature with the minimum being around 14-19 degrees Celsius, with the southern part of the country noticing a further fall. The maximum temperature will range between 20 and 23 degrees Celsius.
There is also a marine warning issued for strong wind and high seas that will continue until the beginning of next week therefore sea height is expected to exceed 9ft at times.
The department urged residents to avoid all marine activities and to follow the latest updates through its social media accounts.
حذرت إدارة الأرصاد الجوية من أمطار رعدية مصحوبة برياح قوية متوقعة على بعض المناطق أحيانا على الساحل، ومن أمطار رعدية تصاحبها رياح قوية وأمواج عالية في عرض البحر.. متوقعة أن يكون الطقس الليلة وحتى الساعة السادسة من صباح غد الثلاثاء، على الساحل وفي البحر، غائما جزئيا إلى غائم مع أمطار متفرقة تكون رعدية أحيانا.
وتكون الرياح على الساحل جنوبية شرقية بسرعة تتراوح بين 12 عقدة و22 عقدة، تصل إلى 30 عقدة خلال الأمطار الرعدية.. وفي البحر تكون الرياح شرقية إلى جنوبية شرقية بسرعة تتراوح بين 18 عقدة و28 عقدة، مع هبات تصل سرعتها إلى 38 عقدة مع الأمطار الرعدية.
ويتراوح مدى الرؤية الأفقية بين 4 و8 كيلومترات، وينخفض إلى كيلومترين أو أقل ببعض المناطق مع الأمطار الرعدية.
ويتراوح ارتفاع الموج على الساحل بين قدمين اثنتين و4 أقدام، يرتفع إلى 5 أقدام مع الأمطار الرعدية.. وفي البحر 6 و8 أقدام، يرتفع إلى 10 أقدام مع الأمطار الرعدية.
أدنى درجة حرارة متوقعة في الدوحة 22 درجة مئوية.
