A collection of the most powerful MINIs in the brand’s 60-year history lit up the track during a test drive hosted by Alfardan Automobiles, the official BMW Group importer in Qatar.
The new MINI John Cooper Works Clubman and MINI John Cooper Works Countryman were put through their paces at the Losail International Circuit on November 30.
Qatar’s motoring press and MINI customers in testing the limits of the brand-new sports models, getting the most from the outstanding Twin-Power Turbo engine and admiring design rich in racing pedigree.
The new MINI John Cooper Works Clubman and MINI John Cooper Works Countryman have cemented their places in the leading line-up of compact sport models. They truly represent the ultimate performance in the MINI model range.
The Cooper name is synonymous with motoring excellence since legendary racing car maker and tuner John Cooper developed the original MINI Cooper in 1961.
The 225 kW/306 hp 4-cylinder turbo engine in the new MINI John Cooper Works Clubman and MINI John Cooper Works Countryman both display outstanding performance in the compact premium segment.
The MINI John Cooper Works Clubman turns in an acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, with the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman achieving the same in 5.1 seconds – 1.4 and 1.5 seconds faster than in the respective previous models. Compared to the MINI Cooper S Clubman and MINI Cooper S Countryman, at output of 306 horsepower.
In both John Cooper Works models, the engine is combined as standard with a new 8-speed Steptronic sports transmission, including mechanical differential lock on the front axle, an ALL4 all-wheel drive system, a specifically engineered chassis, and additional reinforcement modifications for the body structure, engine connection and chassis fastenings. This enables the John Cooper Works racing sensation to reach a new level of performance.

وكان التنافس على أعلى درجة من القوة بين سيارة MINI John Cooper Works Clubman، وسيارة MINI John Cooper Works Countryman اللتين أظهرتا ما تتمتعان به من قوة على حلبة لوسيل الدولية يوم 30 نوفمبر.
وشهد الحدث حضور الصحافيين ووسائل الإعلام المتخصصة بالسيارات في قطر إلى جانب عملاء MINI حيث تمكنوا من متابعة التنافس بين الطرازين الرياضيين الجديدين وما يتمتعان به من قوة، حيث أتيحت لهما الفرصة لإطلاق قدراتهما التي تنتج من أداء المحرك التوربيني المزدوج ذي المزايا المثيرة للإعجاب، والتصميم الفائق والمناسب لعالم السباقات.
وقد عززت كل من سيارة MINI John Cooper Works Clubman الجديدة كلياً وسيارة MINI John Cooper Works Countryman مكانتهما بين المجموعة الرائدة من الطرازات الرياضية المدمجة، باعتبارهما تمثلان الأداء الفائق ضمن مجموعة طرازات MINI.
ويعد اسم Cooper مرادفًا للتميز في عالم القيادة منذ قيام صانع السيارات الأسطوري جون كوبر بتطوير سيارة MINI Cooper الأصلية عام 1961.
يوفر المحرك التوربيني بأربعة 4 أسطوانات قوة قدرها 225 كيلو واط/306 حصان في كل من سيارتي MINI John Cooper Works Clubman وMINI John Cooper Works Countryman لتقدم كل منهما أداءً متميزًا ضمن فئة السيارات المدمجة الفائقة.
ويمكن لسيارة MINI John Cooper Works Clubman أن تنطلق بسرعة من صفر إلى 100 كم/ساعة خلال 4.9 ثانية، فيما تحقق سيارة MINI John Cooper Works Countryman الانطلاقة ذاتها خلال 5.1 ثانية، حيث يعد الطرازان أسرع بزمن قدره 1.4 و1.5 ثانية على التوالي من الطرازات السابقة. وبالمقارنة مع طرازي MINI Cooper S Clubman وMINI Cooper S Countryman
وفي كل من طرازي John Cooper Works، يكتمل عمل المحرك في التصميم القياسي مع ناقل حركة رياضي جديد Steptronic من ست سرعات، كما يضم القفل التفاضلي الميكانيكي على المحور الأمامي ونظام الدفع الرباعي، وهيكل شاسيه بتصميم هندسي مخصص، وتعديلات إضافية تحسن من بنية هيكل جسم السيارة، واتصال المحرك وتثبيت هيكل الشاسيه. وبذلك يمكّن الإحساس بمزايا السباق التي تتمتع بها طرازات John Cooper Works التي تصل بالأداء إلى مستوى رفيع.
