2022 trees to be Planted by the 2022 World Cup

The Qur’an Botanical Garden, a member of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, held a tree planting event to conserve the environment as part of the Qatar-India 2019 cultural year.
The ceremony, which was inspired by the “planting” campaign for planting trees in the Qur’an Botanical Garden, was held at the Oxygen Park in Education City to highlight the importance of initiatives to conserve the plant environment in Qatar, and to encourage cultural interaction. The “Planting” campaign hosts many tree planting celebrations every year, as part of its overall goal of planting 2,022 trees by the 2022 World Cup.
Mrs. Fatima Saleh Al-Khulaifi, Director of the Qur’an Botanical Garden, said that the joint efforts also extend to another vital area which is the preservation of the environment, where we believe that cooperation and institutional partnerships are vital to the garden’s efforts to protect and preserve the environment.

أقيم الحفل، المستوحى من حملة “غرس” لزراعة الأشجار في حديقة القرآن النباتية، في حديقة الأكسجين في المدينة التعليمية لتسليط الضوء على أهمية مبادرات الحفاظ على البيئة النباتية في قطر، وتشجيع التفاعل الثقافي. وتحتضن حملة “غرس” العديد من احتفالات غرس الأشجار في كل عام، كجزء من هدفها الشامل المتمثل في زراعة 2,022 شجرة بحلول كأس العالم 2022.
وقالت السيدة فاطمة صالح الخليفي، مديرة حديقة القرآن النباتية إن الجهود المشتركة تمتد أيضًا إلى مجال حيوي آخر وهو الحفاظ على البيئة، حيث نرى أن التعاون والشراكات المؤسسية تعد أمرًا حيويًا لجهود الحديقة في حماية البيئة والحفاظ عليها.
