The features of Al Thumama Stadium start to appear clearly

The Twitter account of the Supreme Committee for Legacy and heritage has posted photos showing the features of Al Thumama Stadium, which will host the 2022 World Cup in Qatar from the group stage to the quarter-finals.

Al Thumama Stadium is located 12 kilometres south of the heart of Doha, and will be able to accommodate 40 thousand spectators and that the dismantling of 20,000 seats after the World Cup to be donated to some African and Asian developing countries.

Al-Thumama Stadium, like the other eight World Cup stadiums (Khalifa International, South, Al-Bayt, Al-Rayyan, Ras Abu Aboud, Education City and Lusail), participates in celebrating the traditional Qatari and Arab designs, especially as it was designed from the traditional Qahfiyah that distinguishes the Qatari and Gulf men in general.

ويقع استاد الثمامة على بعد 12 كيلومتراً جنوبي قلب مدينة الدوحة، وسيكون بإمكانه استيعاب 40 الف متفرج على ان يتم تفكيك 20 ألف مقعد بعد المونديال ليتم التبرع بها لبعض الدول الأفريقية والاسيوية النامية.

ويشارك استاد الثمامة كبقية استادات المونديال الثمانية (خليفة الدولي والجنوب والبيت والريان ورأس أبوعبود والمدينة التعليمية ولوسيل) في الاحتفاء بالتصاميم القطرية والعربية التقليدية خاصة وأنه اتخذ تصميمه من القحفية التقليدية التي تميز الرجل القطري والخليجي بصفة عامة.
