Bedaya holds induction meeting for China trip

Bedaya Centre for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Centre) has hosted an induction meeting for Qatari entrepreneurs for a factory visit to Guangzhou and Shenzhen, China, which is scheduled to take place from today until August 12 in co-operation with Aspect Entrepreneurship and Trade.

The trip has been designed for entrepreneurs wishing to explore opportunities to build up and develop their business, gain knowledge about machinery and technological progress in two of China’s most famous commercial cities, Bedaya Centre has said in a press statement.

During the introductory meet-up, the Bedaya team offered a glimpse into the schedule of the trip and important aspects such as costs, transportation, housing and translation, as well as the sectors covered such as packaging, perfumes and clothing.

Reem al-Suwaidi, general manager of Bedaya Centre, said: “Today, we are preparing for the first-of-its-kind journey in line with the strategy and objectives of the centre to support entrepreneurs and open their horizons in various sectors and industries. This visit is also intended to link them to the most important factories in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, the two most industrialised cities, which have become the focus of all eyes among traders and entrepreneurs around the world.

“We always strive to provide the best opportunities for entrepreneurs in Qatar to help them be on the right track and select their career path, which contributes to the growth of their companies and the development of their business across all sectors.

“Entrepreneurship is vital to economic development and a key driver of private sector activity and diversification. It is playing a key role in shaping and developing a more diversified economic base in line with the growing role of the SME sector in Qatar, which is in tune with Qatar National Vision 2030.”

Bedaya Centre is a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech.

تنطلق اليوم رحلة رواد الأعمال القطريين إلى جمهورية الصين الشعبية، والهادفة إلى زيارة المصانع الموجودة في مدينتي غوانزو وشينزن، ومن المقرر أن تستمر الزيارة حتى الأحد المقبل. وقد صممت الرحلة لرواد الأعمال الراغبين في استيراد السلع، واكتساب المعرفة حول الآلات والتقدم التكنولوجي في اثنتين من أشهر المدن التجارية في جمهورية الصين الشعبية.

وكان مركز بداية لريادة الأعمال والتطوير المهني، قد عقد لقاءً تعريفياً ببرنامج الرحلة والتجهيزات الواجب معرفتها، مثل التكاليف والمواصلات، والسكن والترجمة، وطرق نقل البضائع.

دعم رواد الأعمال

قالت ريم السويدي، مدير عام مركز بداية : «قمنا بالإعداد لرحلة الصين، التي تعتبر الأولى من نوعها، وتتماشى مع استراتيجية وأهداف المركز لدعم رواد الأعمال».

وأضافت: نهدف من خلال الرحلة إلى ربط رواد الأعمال بأهم المصانع في غوانزو وشينزن، أشهر مدينتين صناعيتين، نسعى دائماً إلى توفير أفضل الفرص لرواد الأعمال في قطر، من أجل وضعهم على الطريق الصحيح.;
