Chess playgrounds project launched in public parks
تدشين مشروع ملاعب الشطرنج في الحدائق العامة
In line with Qatar Vision 2030, coinciding with the Qatar National Day celebrations nearing 2019, and to attract visitors, and to add more excellence to the country’s gardens, the chess playgrounds project was launched in the gardens, in cooperation between the Public Parks Department of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment and the Qatar Chess Federation. Installation of a chess table made of environmentally friendly materials and a large chessboard in the new Unaizah garden.
The chess playgrounds project in the gardens is the first of its kind, through changing the concept of games in the gardens to make it not only focused on entertainment services, but combines the elements of entertainment and stimulate the mind and thought, so as to help the child to improve and develop his mental abilities, as the development of the child’s mind is a group responsibility that is not just for parents or school, in addition to giving the whole family a chance to enjoy and enjoy the children’s play area, by playing chess, or table tennis in the garden.
The area of Unaizah park is more than 23 thousand m 2, and includes seating areas covered with pergolas and umbrellas, a theater covered with an umbrella, and a children’s play area with rubber floor covered with umbrellas, yards with seating areas, walkways, football pitches with artificial grass, as well as a cafeteria.
تماشياً مع رؤية قطر 2030، وتزامناً مع قرب احتفالات الدولة باليوم الوطني للبلاد ٢٠١٩، ولجذب الزوار، وإضفاء المزيد من التميز على حدائق الدولة، تم تدشين مشروع ملاعب الشطرنج في الحدائق، بالتعاون بين إدارة الحدائق العامة بوزارة البلدية والبيئة والاتحاد القطري للشطرنج، وذلك من خلال تركيب طاولة شطرنج مصنعة من مواد صديقة للبيئة ورقعة شطرنج كبيرة بحديقة عنيزة الجديدة.
ويُعد مشروع ملاعب الشطرنج في الحدائق الأول من نوعه، من خلال تغيير لمفهوم الألعاب في الحدائق لجعلها لا تنصب فقط على خدمات الترفيه، وإنما تجمع بين عنصري الترفيه وتنشيط العقل والفكر، بحيث تساعد الطفل على تحسين وتنمية قدراته العقلية، باعتبار أن تنمية عقل الطفل هي مسؤولية جماعية لا تقع على عاتق الوالدين أو المدرسة فقط، بالإضافة إلى منح فرصة لجميع أفراد العائلة للاستفادة والاستمتاع بمنطقة ألعاب الأطفال، من خلال ممارسة لعبة الشطرنج، أو تنس الطاولة الموجودة في الحديقة.
وتبلغ مساحة حديقة عنيزة أكثر من 23 ألف م2، وتحتوي على مناطق جلوس مغطاة ببرجولات ومظلات، ومسرح مغطى بمظلة، ومكان لألعاب الأطفال بأرضية مطاطية مغطاة بمظلات، وساحات فيها أماكن جلوس، ومماشي، وملاعب كرة قدم بعشب صناعي، بالإضافة إلى كافتيريا.
