Zakreet Rocks Exhibition begins at Katara
افتتاح معرض صخور زكريت في “كتارا”
Doha: Zakreet Rocks Exhibition by artist Suhila Al Harip kicked off yesterday at Katara Art Studio Building 19.
General Manager of Cultural Village Foundation — Katara, Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, said on the occasion that the exhibition was part of Katara’s approach in supporting the Qatari artists to present their experience, stressing that the exhibition highlights the importance of Zakreet rocks and their value.
The exhibition includes a series of stones presented by the artist in a beautiful artistic way, in addition to a set of Dolomite stone, which is a part of limestone.
In this context, the artist Suhila Al Harip said that through this exhibition, she wanted to introduce Zakreet rocks in a new way and draw attention to their importance, as these rocks are of high value, and the exhibition is presenting these rocks as accessories, stones and decor wrapped with gold and silver leaves.The exhibition will run until September 22.
افتتح اليوم، بالمؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي “كتارا” معرض صخور زكريت للفنانة سهيلة الحارب وذلك في استديوهات كتارا للفن مبنى 19.
وبهذه المناسبة، أكد الدكتور خالد بن إبراهيم السليطي المدير العام للمؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي كتارا أن المعرض يأتي ضمن توجه كتارا في دعم الفنان القطري وفتح الآفاق أمامه لتقديم تجربته الفنية، مؤكدا أن المعرض يبرز أهمية صخور زكريت ومالها من قيمة.
ويضم المعرض مجموعة من الأحجار التي قدمتها الفنانة بطريقة فنية جميلة وهي عبارة عن مجموعة تصاميم كلاسيكية مذهبة بورق الذهب أو بورق الفضة ومطعمة بحجر شوارفسكي الأبيض.. بالإضافة إلى مجموعة من حجر الدولوميت وهو جزء من الحجر الجيري.
وفي هذا السياق، قالت الفنانة سهيلة الحارب: “إنه من خلال معرضي هذا وددت التعريف بصخور زكريت بطريقة جديدة ولفت الانتباه إلى أهميتها، فهي صخور ذات قيمة عالية لذلك عملت على تقديمها كاكسسوارات وأحجار وديكور وقد قمت بتغليفها بأوراق الذهب والفضة”.
وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن المعرض يتواصل إلى غاية 22 سبتمبر الجاري.
