Qatar Gears Up to Host Ultimate Automotive Festival

Doha: Qatar Tourism, in collaboration with the Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS), is set to ignite the automotive passion of Qatar with the inaugural edition of GIMS Qatar, scheduled to run from Oct. 5-14, 2023.
Spanning over 10,000 m2 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC), the exhibition will host 31 renowned automotive brands.
Alongside the main exhibition, GIMS Qatar 2023 will create the ultimate automotive festival of automotive excellence in Qatar with four immersive experiences taking place across some of the most prominent tourism destinations in the country. These include a “Future Design Forum” at the National Museum of Qatar, thrilling offroad adventures at Sealine, exhilarating ride-and-drive experiences at the Lusail International Circuit, an exquisite gallery of classic automobiles, and a grand parade of automotive excellence along the iconic Lusail Boulevard.

Taking place at the National Museum of Qatar in a closed event, and in close partnership with the upcoming Qatar Auto Museum and Car Design News, GIMS Qatar will host a Forum for the future of car design, which will include a rich programme of keynote speakers, exclusive panel discussions and a networking lunch that will facilitate disruptive dialogue and cross-disciplinary thinking to discuss the future of the automotive industry.
The Sealine Adventure Hub, located at the luxurious Outpost Al Barari, will offer adventure seekers the opportunity to explore the surrounding dunes and see first-hand the skills and capabilities of automotive brands participating in GIMS Qatar 2023 as they conquer the toughest terrains.
In collaboration with the Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation (QMMF), GIMS Qatar will also host four exclusive Track Days at Lusail International Circuit. Guests will be invited to enjoy premiere access with the unique opportunity to drive on the newly renovated circuit directly following the F1 champions.
The Urban Playground at Lusail Boulevard will bring the passion and energy of GIMS Qatar to life with engaging performances and interactive activities. A special Parade of Excellence will take place on October 12 at 19:00 which will feature up to 100 dream cars and unique models cruising along Lusail Boulevard’s 1.3km iconic strip.

الدوحة: تستعد قطر للسياحة، بالتعاون مع معرض جنيف الدولي للسيارات، لاستضافة النسخة الافتتاحية من معرض جنيف الدولي للسيارات في قطر، والمقرر عقدها خلال الفترة من 5 إلى 14 أكتوبر 2023.
يقام المعرض على مساحة 10 آلاف متر مربع، في مركز الدوحة للمعارض والمؤتمرات، ويضم 31 علامة رائدة من أشهر العلامات في صناعة السيارات.
وسيتم خلال المعرض تسليط الضوء على أحدث الابتكارات في صناعة السيارات، إضافة إلى الكشف عن 10 علامات تجارية رائدة من حول العالم، و20 علامة تجارية رائدة من كافة أنحاء المنطقة.
وفي هذا السياق، أكد سعادة السيد سعد بن علي الخرجي نائب رئيس قطر للسياحة، أن معرض جنيف الدولي للسيارات في قطر يمهد الطريق إلى أن يكون معرض السيارات الأكثر شهرة وتأثيرا في الشرق الأوسط. وقال:” إن الترحيب بالعالم في هذا المهرجان الكبير للسيارات هو شهادة على تفانينا في خلق تجارب لا تنسى للمقيمين والزوار”.. مشيرا إلى أن “استضافة فعاليات واسعة النطاق وعالمية المستوى مثل معرض جنيف الدولي للسيارات، يجسد التزامنا برؤيتنا الاستراتيجية لنصبح الوجهة الأسرع نموا في الشرق الأوسط بحلول عام 2030”.
من جانبه، عبر السيد ساندرو ميسكيتا الرئيس التنفيذي لمعرض جنيف الدولي للسيارات عن سعادته لاستضافة مجموعة مرموقة من العارضين في النسخة الأولى من معرض جنيف الدولي للسيارات في قطر.
وقال في هذه المناسبة:” لأكثر من قرن من الزمن، كان معرض جنيف الدولي للسيارات في طليعة المعارض المتخصصة بابتكارات وتكنولوجيا السيارات.. واليوم، نحن متحمسون لتوسيع إرث المعرض في الشرق الأوسط، وإقامته للمرة الأولى خارج جنيف، من خلال الشراكة بشكل حصري مع دولة ديناميكية ومتقدمة مثل قطر”.
ومن المقرر أن يستضيف معرض جنيف الدولي للسيارات /قطر 2023/ “ملتقى التصميم المستقبلي للسيارات”، بالتعاون مع متحف قطر للسيارات.
وسيوفر “ملتقى المغامرة” في سيلين، الواقع في منتجع “ذا آوت بوست البراري”، للباحثين عن المغامرات الفرصة لاستكشاف الكثبان الرملية المحيطة.
كما يستضيف معرض جنيف الدولي للسيارات /قطر 2023/، بالتعاون مع الاتحاد القطري للسيارات والدراجات النارية، أربعة أيام سباق حصرية على حلبة لوسيل الدولية.
أما ملتقى “ملعب المدينة” فسوف ينقل أجواء الشغف والحيوية التي تميز معرض جنيف الدولي للسيارات /قطر 2023/ إلى درب لوسيل، وذلك عبر العروض الجذابة والأنشطة التفاعلية.
بالإضافة إلى ذلك، سيقام “مسير التميز” يوم 12 أكتوبر المقبل عند الساعة السابعة مساء، بمشاركة حوالي 100 سيارة من سيارات الأحلام والنماذج والطرازات الفريدة التي ستسير بدورها عبر درب لوسيل الشهير الذي يبلغ طوله 1.3 كيلومتر.
