Qatar Visa Center opens in Manila

Manila: Represented by the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs, Qatar inaugurated its overseas Visa Centre in Manila, Philippines, today as part of the state’ efforts to facilitate and simplify the recruitment procedures for expatriates into the country.
The inauguration was attended by Ambassador of Qatar to Philippines Ali Ibrahim Al Malki, Adviser at the office of the Minister of Interior Major General Abdullah Salim Al Ali, Director of the Visa Support Services Department at the Ministry of Interior Major Abdullah Khalifa Al Mohannadi, Labor expert, Advisor at the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs Muhammed Ali Al Meer and Director of the Department of Medical Medicine Dr Ibrahim Al Shaer.
The inauguration of Qatar Visa Center in the Philippine capital of Manila complements the project to end the recruitment of expatriates from abroad and the Philippines is the sixth country to launch Qatar Visa Centers after the launch of centers in five countries: Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India and Nepal, which have proven to be very successful in providing outstanding services.
Major Khalifa Al Mohannadi said that this center is the largest of its kind as it is held on an area of 1,800 square meters and is expected to receive more than 350 applicant on a daily basis.
Al Mohannadi also added that the Visa Center includes a full medical hospital, fingerprint services and special services for the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs to provide services related to the registration of vital data, conduct medical examinations, sign contracts electronically, issue documentation and educational qualifications, in addition to other services that will benefit the expatriate.
The next stages of the project will cover all types of visas, in addition to the recruitment of home domestic applicants and other distinct services, through a unified channel, saving time and effort for applicants, once the initial approval of the visa is issued from within the State of Qatar, the applicants can visit the Visa Center to complete the procedures.
Major Al Mohannadi added that the center operates in accordance with more accurate procedures and in accordance with the best international standards that ensure greater transparency and the possibility of improving security procedures for the applicants.
Meanwhile, employers in Qatar are scheduled to carry out necessary procedures to obtain visas and then the applicant can book appointments online, followed by visiting of the center and when the references arrive at the center they’ll need to verify their identity and the list of required documents, after which the terms of the contract will be reviewed in the employee native language and then the applicant will have the choice to sign the contract electronically if they decide to proceed, after which the biometrics and medical examinations are performed at the center and once all the procedures are completed in the visa center, the applicant has the choice to track the status of their applications online or through their employers in Qatar.
دشّنت دولة قطر ممثلة بوزارة الداخلية ووزارتي الصحة والتنمية الإدارية والعمل والشؤون الاجتماعية، أمس الأربعاء، مركز تأشيرات قطر بالخارج في العاصمة الفلبينية مانيلا، الذي يأتي في إطار جهود دولة قطر الرامية إلى تسهيل إجراءات استقدام الوافدين بالدولة وتبسيطها.
حضر التدشين سعادة السفير علي إبراهيم المالكي سفير دولة قطر لدي الفلبين، واللواء عبدالله سالم العلي مدير المكتب الفني بمكتب معالي وزير الداخلية، والرائد عبدالله خليفة المهندي مدير إدارة الخدمات المساندة للاستقدام، والسيد علي محمد المير خبير العمل بوزارة التنمية الإدارية والعمل والشؤون الاجتماعية، والدكتور إبراهيم الشعر مدير إدارة القومسيون الطبي بوزارة الصحة، وعدد من المسؤولين من كلا الجانبين.
يأتي افتتاح مركز تأشيرات قطر في العاصمة الفلبينية مانيلا استكمالاً لمشروع إنهاء إجراءات استقدام الوافدين من الخارج. وتُعدّ الفلبين الدولة السادسة التي تُدشّن مراكز تأشيرات قطر فيها بعد تدشين مراكز في خمسة دول، هي: سريلانكا، وبنجلاديش، وباكستان، والهند، ونيبال، والتي أثبتت نجاحاً كبيراً في تقديم خدمات متميّزة وبصورة مبسّطة وأكثر تقدماً.
وقال الرائد عبدالله خليفة المهندي، إن هذا المركز يُعدّ الأكبر من نوعه، حيث يُقام على مساحة تُقدّر بـ 1800 متر مربع، ومن المتوقع أن يستقبل يومياً أكثر من 350 مراجعاً، ويضم: مركزاً للتأشيرات، وقومسيوناً طبياً كاملاً، وخدمات البصمة، وخدمات خاصة بوزارة التنمية الإدارية والعمل والشؤون الاجتماعية، لتقديم خدمات تتعلق بتسجيل البيانات الحيوية، وإجراء الفحوصات الطبية، وتوقيع العقود إلكترونياً، وتوثيق المستندات والمؤهلات التعليمية، بالإضافة إلى خدمات أخرى سيستفيد منها الوافد.
كما ستغطّي المراحل المقبلة للمشروع أنواع التأشيرة كافة، بالإضافة إلى استقدام مستخدمي المنازل ومن في حكمهم، وخدمات أخرى مميّزة، من خلال قناة موحّدة؛ مما يوفّر الوقت والجهد على المراجعين. فبمجرد إصدار الموافقة المبدئية على التأشيرة من داخل دولة قطر، يمكن للمراجعين زيارة المركز لاستكمال الإجراءات.
وأضاف الرائد عبدالله المهندي: «المركز يعمل وفق إجراءات أكثر دقة، وبما يتوافق مع أفضل المعايير الدولية التي تضمن شفافية أكبر وإمكانية تحسين الإجراءات الأمنية بدقة للمراجعين. ويعمل المركز من الساعة الثامنة صباحاً وحتى الساعة الخامسة مساء».
