MME launches initiative to attract Qatari engineers

The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) has launched an initiative to attract Qatari engineers to work in different sectors of the ministry.
The Director of the Human Resources Department at MME, Jabr Abdullah Al Attiya (pictured), said that this initiative comes part of the sustainable strategic plan for the ministry and its sectors, within the framework of Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Second National Development Strategy 2018-22, to provide the needs of the ministry with regards specialized jobs that play a key role in achieving the best level of performance and productivity.
He added that recently, a number of Qatari engineers of both genders have been interviewed. Al Attiya highlighted the importance the ministry gives to localizing jobs part of the localization of specialized jobs plan by 2021, which was set and being implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs.
The plan includes granting scholarships to Qatari nationals for 7 years from 2015 to 2021. It also includes specialized jobs such as engineering, veterinary medicine, law, computer, and other specialized functions.
He added that the number of qualified Qatari engineers working in the Ministry is increasing steadily and in line with its plan, and the instructions of HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment to develop work and attract the best Qatari talents in various sectors of the ministry. He said the initiative to attract new engineers from Qatar will be followed by other new steps, aimed at improving the work environment and increasing the percentage of Qatari staff in the ministry.
أطلقت وزارة البلدية والبيئة مبادرة لاستقطاب مهندسين قطريين للعمل بمختلف القطاعات التابعة لها، ضمن الكادر الوظيفي القطري بالوزارة.
وقال السيد جبر عبدالله العطية مدير إدارة الموارد البشرية بوزارة البلدية والبيئة إن هذه المبادرة تأتي ضمن الخطة الاستراتيجية المستدامة للوزارة وقطاعاتها، في إطار رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030، واستراتيجية التنمية الوطنية الثانية 2018-2022 ، لتوفير احتياجات الوزارة من الوظائف التخصصية التي تلعب دوراً أساسياً في تحقيق أفضل مستوى من الأداء والإنتاجية، مشيراً إلى إنه تم خلال الفترة الأخيرة في هذا الصدد إجراء مقابلات مع عدد من المهندسين والمهندسات القطريين .
ونوه العطية في تصريح صحفي باهتمام وزارة البلدية والبيئة بتوطين الوظائف في إطار خطة توطين الوظائف التخصصية بحلول عام 2021، والتي تم وضعها وتطبيقها بالتنسيق مع وزارة التنمية الإدارية والعمل والشؤون الاجتماعية، وتشمل ابتعاث المواطنين القطريين على مدار 7 سنوات من عام 2015 إلى عام 2021 . كما تشمل الوظائف التخصصية مثل الهندسة والطب البيطري والقانون والحاسب الآلي، وغيرها من الوظائف التخصصية .
وأوضح أن عدد المهندسين القطريين الأكفاء العاملين بالوزارة في تزايد ملحوظ ومستمر، تنفيذاً لخطتها، وتعليمات سعادة وزير البلدية والبيئة بضرورة تطوير العمل وجذب أفضل الكفاءات القطرية في مختلف القطاعات التابعة للوزارة.
وأكد مدير إدارة الموارد البشرية أن مبادرة استقطاب مهندسين جدد من أبناء قطر ستتبعها خطوات أخرى جديدة، تستهدف الارتقاء ببيئة العمل وزيادة نسبة الكادر القطري بالوزارة ، من أجل النهوض بالعمل بما يحقق خدمات عصرية ذات جودة عالية لخدمة الوطن والمواطن.
