Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani patronized the opening of Doha Forum 2023 under the slogan “Building Shared Futures” at the Sheraton Doha Hotel on Sunday morning.
The opening ceremony was attended by HE President of the Republic of Kosovo Dr. Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, HE President of the Republic of Senegal Macky Sall, HE President of Zanzibar Dr. Hussein Ali Mwiny, HE Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Dr. Bishr Al Khasawneh, HE Prime Minister of the State of Palestine Mohammad Shtayyeh, HE Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres, HE President of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) Denis Francis, HE Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, and Their Excellencies the heads of delegations of brotherly and friendly countries.
The opening was also attended by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, and several of Their Excellencies sheikhs, ministers, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the state, as well as senior academics, policymakers, parliamentarians, intellectuals, businessmen, media, and representatives of regional and international organizations and civil society organizations.
During the event, HH the Amir awarded the Doha Forum Award to Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) Philippe Lazzarini.
HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani delivered a speech on this occasion.
Likewise, HE Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres also delivered a speech.

الدوحة: تفضل حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، فشمل برعايته الكريمة افتتاح منتدى الدوحة 2023، تحت شعار “معا نحو بناء مستقبل مشترك”، وذلك بفندق شيراتون الدوحة صباح يوم الأحد.
حضر الافتتاح فخامة الرئيسة فيوسا عثماني رئيسة جمهورية كوسوفو، وفخامة الرئيس ماكي صال رئيس جمهورية السنغال، وفخامة الرئيس حسين علي مويني رئيس زنجبار، ودولة الدكتور بشر هاني الخصاونة رئيس الوزراء بالمملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، ودولة الدكتور محمد اشتية رئيس وزراء دولة فلسطين، وسعادة السيد أنطونيو غوتيريش الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة، وسعادة السيد دينيس فرانسيس رئيس الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، وسعادة السيد جاسم البديوي الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، وأصحاب السعادة رؤساء وفود الدول الشقيقة والصديقة.
كما حضر الافتتاح معالي الشيخ محمد بن عبدالرحمن بن جاسم آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الخارجية، وسعادة السيد حسن بن عبدالله الغانم رئيس مجلس الشورى، وعدد من أصحاب السعادة الشيوخ والوزراء ورؤساء البعثات الدبلوماسية المعتمدين لدى الدولة، وكبار المسؤولين من الأكاديميين وصناع السياسات والبرلمانيين والمفكرين ورجال الأعمال والإعلام وممثلي منظمات إقليمية ودولية ومنظمات المجتمع المدني.
كما قام سمو الأمير المفدى، بتسليم جائزة منتدى الدوحة إلى السيد فيليب لازاريني وكيل الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة والمفوض العام لوكالة الأمم المتحدة لإغاثة وتشغيل لاجئي فلسطين في الشرق الأدنى – الأونروا.
وكان معالي الشيخ محمد بن عبدالرحمن بن جاسم آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الخارجية، قد ألقى كلمة بهذه المناسبة.
كما ألقى سعادة السيد أنطونيو غوتيريش الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة كلمة بهذه المناسبة.
