Partial Closure on Al Khaleej Street and The Centre Intersection
إغلاق جزئي لشارع الخليج وتقاطع تقاطع السنتر
The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces that it will implement a partial closure of the northbound lanes of Al Khaleej Street, leading from Wadi Mushireb Intersection (known as Al Jaidah Bridge R/A) towards Al Khaleej Intersection (known as Al Mannai R/A). This is in addition to closing the access from Al Mannai Roundabout to Al Khaleej Street. The closure will start on Wednesday 14 August 2019 and will last for four months, in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic. During this period, a new traffic signal will also be installed at the intersection of Ibn Mahmoud Street with Al Rayyan Road.
Accordingly, traffic coming from the White Palace Intersection towards Al Mannai R/A can use Ibn Mahmoud Street to reach Al Jaidah Bridge R/A. Traffic coming from Al Diwan Intersection towards Al Mannai R/A can turn right towards Qasr Al Marmar R/A and take a u-turn towards Al Mannai underpass leading to Al Jaidah Bridge R/A. Traffic heading from Al Kahrabaa Intersection to Al Mannai R/A will have to use Al Diwan Street, then turn left at Al Diwan Intersection. Those coming from the B-Ring Road or Ibn Seena Street towards Al Jaidah Bridge R/A, can use Bin Mahmoud Street to reach Al Mannai Bridge, as shown on the above map.
During the same period, a partial closure will be implemented at the intersection known as The “Center Intersection” on Salwa Road, where the main lanes will be kept open between Ramada Intersection and Al Jaidah Bridge R/A. Those coming from Al Kandi Street can only turn right into Salwa Road, as shown on the above map.
The closure aims to allow the installation of a bridge deck at Al Mannai Roundabout, in addition to increasing the number of lanes in Al Khaleej Street from two to three lanes in both directions. This is part of the Interim Improvement of the B-Ring Road, Al Mannai and Guest Palace Roundabouts Scheme project, which aims to enhance traffic movement and reduce congestion in these vital areas.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the closure. Ashghal requests all road users to abide by the speed limit, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
تعلن هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” أنه سيتم إغلاق مسارات شارع الخليج المتجهة شمالاً من تقاطع وادي مشيرب (المعروف بدوار جسر الجيدة) إلى تقاطع الخليج (المعروف بدوار المناعي)، وإغلاق المسار المتجه جنوباً من دوار المناعي إلى شارع الخليج، اعتباراً من صباح يوم الأربعاء 14 أغسطس 2019 ولمدة أربعة أشهر، وذلك بالتنسيق مع الإدارة العامة للمرور. خلال هذه الفترة، سيتم إضافة إشارة مرورية جديدة عند تقاطع شارع ابن محمود مع طريق الريان.
وعليه يمكن للقادمين من تقاطع القصر الأبيض باتجاه دوار المناعي استخدام شارع ابن محمود للوصول إلى دوار جسر الجيدة. بينما يمكن للقادمين من تقاطع الديوان باتجاه دوار المناعي الانعطاف يميناً باتجاه دوار قصر المرمر ثم الالتفاف والعودة باتجاه نفق المناعي ومنه إلى دوار جسر الجيدة. أما المتجهين من تقاطع الكهرباء إلى دوار المناعي فعليهم استخدام شارع الديوان ثم الانعطاف يساراً عند تقاطع الديوان. أما القادمين من الطريق الدائري الثاني أو من شارع ابن سيناء باتجاه دوار جسر الجيدة، فيمكنهم استخدام شارع ابن محمود للوصول إلى جسر المناعي، كما هو موضح في الخريطة أعلاه.
سيتم خلال نفس الفترة تنفيذ إغلاق جزئي للتقاطع المعروف بتقاطع السنتر على طريق سلوى، حيث سيتم إبقاء المسارات الرئيسية مفتوحة للمرور بين تقاطع رمادا ودوار جسر الجيدة. وسيسمح للقادمين من شارع الكندي بالانعطاف يميناً فقط إلى طريق سلوى، كما هو موضح في الخريطة أعلاه.
يهدف هذا الإغلاق إلى استكمال أعمال تركيب سطح جسر فوق نفق المناعي، وزيادة عدد مسارات شارع الخليج من اثنين إلى ثلاثة مسارات، وذلك في إطار مشروع التحسينات المؤقتة للطريق الدائري الثاني، دوار المناعي ودوار قصر الضيافة، والذي يهدف إلى تعزيز انسيابية المرور وتخفيف الازدحام في هذه المناطق الحيوية.
ستقوم هيئة الأشغال العامة بتركيب اللوحات الإرشادية لتنبيه مستخدمي الطريق بهذا الإغلاق، وتهيب بجميع مستخدمي الطريق الالتزام بحدود السرعة المسموحة واتباع اللوحات الإرشادية حفاظاً على سلامتهم.
