Temporary Closure of some lanes at Onaiza Intersection (Qatar Sports Club Intersection)
إغلاق مؤقت لبعض المسارات على تقاطع عنيزة (تقاطع نادي قطر)
The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces that it will implement a temporary closure of some lanes on Onaiza Intersection (known as Sports Club Intersection), from Thursday, 4 July, 2019 for a period of 2 months, in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
The closures will be as follows and as shown in the attached map:

One lane in each of the four left turns of the intersection will be closed

One of the three main lanes on Onaiza Street (Known as Al Istiqlal Street) will be closed, in the direction to Lusail Road

One of the three main lanes on Al Markhiya street will be closed, in the direction to Lejbailat Intersection

On both directions of Onaiza Street, the free right turn heading to Lekhwair Intersection and Lejbailat Intersection will be closed. Khalifa Street can be used to reach the desired destinations
The closure aims to develop Onaiza intersection by adding a fourth lane on the main carriageway of Onaiza Street and increase the number of the left turn lanes from Al Markhiya Street to 3 lanes instead of 2 lanes. Road users are advised to use alternative routes if possible to avoid any possible congestion.
Ashghal will install road signs to advice motorists of the diversion. The authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure their and others safety.
تعلن هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” عن تنفيذ إغلاق لبعض المسارات ضمن تقاطع عنيزة المعروف أيضاً بتقاطع نادي قطر، وذلك لمدة شهرين بدءاً من يوم الخميس 4 يوليو 2019 وبالتنسيق مع الإدارة العامة للمرور.
وفيما يلي توضيح للمسارات التي سيتم إغلاقها على التقاطع، والموضحة بالخريطة المرفقة:
- سيتم إغلاق مسار واحد من مسارات الانعطاف لليسار على كل من الجهات الأربعة للتقاطع
- سيتم إغلاق مسار واحد من أصل ثلاثة مسارات من المسارات الرئيسية على شارع عنيزة (المعروف بشارع الاستقلال) باتجاه طريق لوسيل
- أما بالنسبة لشارع المرخية فسيتم إغلاق مسار واحد من المسارات الرئيسية في اتجاه تقاطع لجبيلات مع الإبقاء على مسارين مفتوحين
- سيتم في كلا اتجاهي شارع عنيزة إغلاق المسار المنعطف يميناً باتجاه تقاطع لخوير وتقاطع لجبيلات، ويمكن استخدام شارع خليفة للوصول للوجهات المطلوبة
يهدف هذا الإغلاق إلى تطوير تقاطع عنيزة عبر إضافة مسار رابع للمسارات الرئيسية على شارع عنيزة وزيادة عدد المسارات المتجهة يساراً من شارع المرخية من مسارين إلى ثلاثة مسارات، يُنصح مستخدمي التقاطع باستخدام طرق بديلة إن أمكن لتجنب أي ازدحام محتمل.
ستقوم هيئة الأشغال العامة بتركيب اللوحات الإرشادية لتنبيه مستخدمي الطريق بهذا الإغلاق، وتهيب بجميع مستخدمي الطريق الالتزام بحدود السرعة المسموحة واتباع اللوحات الإرشادية حفاظاً على سلامتهم.
