Entertainment City receives 60,000 visitors in a month
المدينة الترفيهية تختتم عروضها باستقطاب 60 ألف زائر
Doha: Entertainment City, a hallmark of Summer in Qatar, welcomed nearly 60,000 visitors over the course of a month, during which it delighted children and adults alike.
Running from June 4 to July 13, the summer staple was shorter than in previous years, and the stations included activities for a range of ages and interests.
A vast ocean ball, QSports Bounce Kingdom, and a Kids’ Driving School, combined with an Inflatable Zone and Mobile Trampoline Park, kept toddlers and children entertained.
A mini golf course featuring famous global landmarks, ice skating, and a child friendly bull ride, as well as rides kept children of all sizes busy, while others tested their chops at various skills games, played in the retro arcade corner, or entered new worlds at the e-gaming and Virtual Reality (VR) City.
Sports aficionados were able to kick back and relax in front of giant screens which showed the ICC Cricket World Cup in England.
Entertainment City is part of the Summer in Qatar programme curated by the Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) and its more than 30 partners from the public and private sectors for residents and visitors to enjoy the season’s festivities.
The programme contains a wide range of activities for people of all ages and interests. These include family-friendly entertainment shows, concerts and comedy performances by top international artistes, summer camps for children and youth, thrilling experiences and sporting tournaments in addition to exciting travel, hospitality and retail promotions running until August 16.
استقبلت المدينة الترفيهية، إحدى الفعاليات المميزة لموسم الصيف في قطر لهذا العام، حوالي 60 ألف زائر على مدى شهر تقريباً نجحت خلاله في إثراء موسم الصيف في قطر وتعزيز خيارات الترفيه لدى الصغار والكبار واستقطاب الزوار من داخل قطر وخارجها. وتضمّنت المدينة التي فتحت أبوابها للجمهور منذ 4 يونيو وحتى 13 يوليو الجاري، العديد من الأنشطة الترفيهية والألعاب العصرية التي تلبي تطلعات جميع أفراد الأسرة باختلاف أعمارهم واهتماماتهم.
وقد استمتع الأطفال من شتى الفئات العمرية بالأجواء المفعمة بالإثارة والعروض والفعاليات الترفيهية التي تضمنتها المدينة مثل أضخم لعبة «أوشن بول» ومملكة كيوسبورتس للقفز والنطاطيات ومدرسة الأطفال لتعليم القيادة والترامبولين وغيرها من الألعاب المسلية والممتعة. كما خاض الأطفال تجارب فريدة في التزلج على الجليد وملعب الجولف المصغر ودخلوا عالماً جديداً مع الألعاب الإلكترونية ومدينة الواقع الافتراضي.
وأما عشَّاق متابعة البطولات والمنافسات الرياضية فقد استطاعوا مشاهدة نجومهم المفضلين عبر شاشات عملاقة تابعوا عليها منافسات بطولة كأس العالم للكريكيت التي استضافتها إنجلترا مؤخراً.
وتُعتبر المدينة الترفيهية جزءاً من برنامج موسم الصيف في قطر لهذا العام الذي يقدمه المجلس الوطني للسياحة بالتعاون مع أكثر من 30 شريكاً من القطاعين العام والخاص، والذي نجح حتى الآن في خلق أجواء ترفيهية حافلة بالمتعة والمرح.
