Top international artistes set to hit the stage in Doha

Tickets are now on sale for performances by world-renowned artistes who are coming to Doha as part of ‘Summer in Qatar’, the organisers have announced.

Courtesy of Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) in partnership with The Social Studio, residents and visitors “can enjoy the comedic stylings of ‘Daily Show’ host and comedian Trevor Noah, be entranced by EDM artiste and DJ-producer Marshmello, and be swept away by Arabic music icon Kadim al-Saher”, according to a press statement.

Mashal Shabik from QNTC said, “We are pleased to host renowned international entertainers in Doha this ‘Summer in Qatar’. Our biggest programme yet, we are thrilled to offer an array of live entertainment and build sustainable offerings through the year. Urban and family entertainment is a core tenet of our tourism offering, and we continue to develop options for everyone to enjoy the season-long programme to the fullest.”

All shows will take place at Qatar National Convention Centre.

The festivities begin with the annual Doha Comedy Festival on July 12, headlined by Noah. DJ and EDM artiste Marshmello will bring his unique fashion and musical stylings to Doha for the first time, with a live concert on July 25. Having sold over 100mn albums, the king of Arabic music, al-Saher will have performances on August 16 and 17.

Hamzeh Zahr, managing director of The Social Studio, said: “‘Summer in Qatar’ cultivates Qatar’s accomplishments, especially in live entertainment, as it hosts a collection of international and regional music and comedy mega stars. This reinforces Qatar’s position as an authentic and contemporary destination, offering one of the largest concert and show line-ups in the region.

“This achievement is the result of the tourism vision for Qatar, and the leading role played by the Qatar National Tourism Council, which we will continue to partner with to curate a vibrant, rich and diverse cultural experience for visitors, locals and residents.”

Live music concerts and shows are all part of the entertainment schedule of the ‘Summer in Qatar’ programme, offering an array of cultural performances and family-friendly entertainment. وأعلن المجلس الوطني للسياحة، أمس، أنه تم طرح تذاكر الحفلات بالتعاون مع شركة «ذا سوشال ستديو»، حيث يتم تنظيم مجموعة من الحفلات الموسيقية والترفيهية التي يشارك فيها عدد من النجوم، أبرزهم: المطرب العراقي كاظم الساهر، والنجم الكوميدي العالمي تريفور نوح صاحب البرنامج الشهير «ذا ديلي شو»، وفنان الموسيقى الإلكترونية والـ «دي جيه» العالمي مارشميلو.

وقالت السيدة مشاعل شهبيك، من المجلس الوطني للسياحة: «يسرنا دائماً أن نتعاون مع القطاع الخاص لاستضافة نجوم الفن والغناء والكوميديا العالميين خلال موسم الصيف في قطر، إحدى أكبر الفعاليات التي ينظمها المجلس الوطني للسياحة»، مشيرة إلى أن الترفيه الحضري والعائلي أحد المكونات الرئيسية لعروض المجلس السياحية، الذي يواصل تطوير هذه الخيارات الترفيهية، بما يلائم جميع الأعمار، ويرضي كل الأذواق على مدار الصيف.

وأوضحت أن مركز قطر الوطني للمؤتمرات سوف يستضيف جميع هذه الحفلات والعروض، التي تنطلق بداية من مهرجان الدوحة السنوي للكوميديا في 12 يوليو المقبل، والذي سيكون تريفور نوح أبرز نجومه، أما فنان الـ «دي جيه» والموسيقى الإلكترونية المعروف باسم مارشميلو، فسوف يقدم أسلوبه الموسيقي الفريد في الدوحة للمرة الأولى، وذلك من خلال حفل موسيقي يقدم في 25 يوليو، فيما سيكون الختام مع نجم الغناء العربي كاظم الساهر، حيث يحيي حفلتين غنائيتين يومي 16 و17 أغسطس المقبل، وقد تم طرح التذاكر الخاصة بحضور جميع هذه العروض والحفلات من خلال https://tickets.virginmegastore.me/qa.
