Qatar participates in annual international solidarity forum with people of Palestine

Geneva: A delegation from Qatar has participated in the annual international solidarity forum with the workers and people of Palestine and the occupied Arab territories, on the sidelines of the 108th session of the International Labor Conference held in Geneva, Switzerland.
The delegation was headed by Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs H E Yousef bin Mohammed Al Othman Fakhro.
The Forum stressed the need to give full support to the Palestinian cause and condemn the Israeli occupation, and expose the practices of the Israeli authorities against the Palestinian people and other Arab countries. It also stressed the importance of providing full support to the operating fund and the production parties in Palestine so that they can face the occupation and violations by some countries of the legal and religious status of Jerusalem.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority, Mohammad Shtayyeh, Director General of the ILO, Guy Ryder, and more than 400 participants including ministers and heads of labour organisations.
شارك وفد من دولة قطر في الملتقى السنوي الدولي التضامني مع عمال وشعب فلسطين والأراضي العربية المحتلة الذي أقيم على هامش اجتماعات الدورة 108 لمؤتمر العمل الدولي المنعقد في جنيف بسويسرا.
وترأس الوفد سعادة السيد يوسف محمد العثمان فخرو وزير التنمية الإدارية والعمل والشؤون الاجتماعية.
وأكد الملتقى على ضرورة تقديم الدعم الكامل للقضية الفلسطينية وإدانة الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، وفضح ممارسات الكيان الإسرائيلي ضد الشعب الفلسطيني والبلدان العربية الأخرى.
كما شدد على أهمية تقديم الدعم الكامل لصندوق التشغيل ولأطراف الإنتاج في دولة فلسطين حتى يتمكنوا من مواجهة الاحتلال، وانتهاكات بعض الدول لمكانة القدس القانونية والدينية.
شارك في الملتقى سعادة السيد محمد اشتية رئيس مجلس الوزراء الفلسطيني، والسيد جاي ريدر مدير عام منظمة العمل الدولية، وأكثر من 400 مشارك من الوزراء ورؤساء المنظمات العمالية ومنظمات أصحاب الأعمال الإقليمية والدولية وممثلي الوفود العربية وممثلين للبلدان الآسيوية والإفريقية والأوروبية المشاركة في مؤتمر العمل الدولي.
