MoI seizes four bags of counterfeit currency; seven arrested
«الداخلية» تعلن عن القبض على 7 أشخاص بحوزتهم أموال مزيفة
Department of Combating Economic and Electronic Crimes at the General Department of Criminal Investigation at the Ministry of Interior has arrested seven persons with four bags of counterfeit currency.
Six detainees are from Arab countries and one from a European country
Papers and other materials were also found in their possession that they used for cheating the victims by convincing them that they were converting the papers into counterfeit currency.
The officials seized the items in their possession after obtaining a search warrant from the department concerned.
The accused admitted the charges and they were sent for further legal actions.
The Ministry of the Interior has urged people to take caution while dealing with such scammers who make money through fraudulent practices.
The Ministry also asked people to report the Department of Combating Economic and Electronic Crimes if they come across such cases.
تمكّنت إدارة مكافحة الجرائم الاقتصادية والإلكترونية بالإدارة العامة للمباحث الجنائية من القبض على 7 أشخاص، ستة منهم يحملون جنسية دول عربية، بينما المتهم السابع يحمل جنسية دولة أوروبية، بحوزتهم عملات نقدية مزيّفة تُقدّر كميتها بـ 4 حقائب، بالإضافة إلى أوراق وطلاسم ومواد أخرى تُستخدم في الاحتيال بالادعاء بتحويل الأوراق إلى عملات مزيفّة، للحصول في مقابلها من الضحايا على أموال نقدية حقيقية.
وقد قامت الجهات المعنية بضبط المبرزات التي بحوزتهم بعد الحصول على إذن تفتيش وتحرير تلك المضبوطات من الجهات المختصة.
واعترفوا بما نُسب إليهم من تُهم، وجارٍ إحالتهم للجهات القضائية لاستكمال الإجراءات المتبعة في هذا الشأن.
وتناشد الجهات المعنية بوزارة الداخلية الجمهور بجميع شرائحه أهمية أخذ الحيطة والحذر وعدم التعامل مع مثل هؤلاء المحتالين الذين يروّجون إلى كسب المال بهذه الطرق الاحتيالية.
كما تناشد بأهمية التعاون مع إدارة الجرائم الاقتصادية والالكترونية بالإبلاغ عن أي أعمال أو ممارسات تصبّ في هذا الاتجاه، في إطار المسؤولية المشتركة لتحقيق الأمن في المجتمع.
