Ministry of Education starts summer camps on July 14

Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced the start of the activities of its summer camps for a third year starting July 14 and ending August 8.

Head of Programs and Activities at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Fatima Yousef Al Obaidli said that the activities will be launched at 14 summer centers across Qatar, which includes seven summer centers for boys and seven for girls.

Al Obaidli stressed the ministry’s keenness to support the students and provide them with fun and useful activities during the summer vacation in order to invest in the students’ free time to positively benefit them.

The activities, she said, include an educational program of entertainment that follows the system of education based on projects.

Al Obaidli underlined that the program is designed by educators and experts in the field of technology, science, arts and sports and aims to develop the skills and abilities of the students and encourage them to develop a passion for research and exploration. It also includes various activities in fields of education, entertainment, sports and technology, in addition to field trips, she added.

She noted that the summer centers target Qatari and non-Qatari students of public schools, as well as Qatari students of private schools, from 6 to 18 years old.

أعلنت وزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي عن بدء فعاليات المراكز الصيفية التابعة لها ، للسنة الثالثة على التوالي في 14 يوليو القادم وتستمر حتى 8 أغسطس.

وقالت السيدة فاطمة يوسف العبيدلي، رئيسة قسم الأنشطة والبرامج بإدارة شؤون المدارس بالوزارة إن الفعاليات ستنطلق في أربعة عشر مركزا صيفيا بجميع أنحاء دولة قطر، منها سبعة مراكز صيفية للبنين ومثلها للبنات.

وأكدت حرص الوزارة على دعم الطلبة وتوفير أنشطة ممتعة ومفيدة لهم في فترة الإجازة الصيفية، وذلك لاستثمار أوقات فراغهم وتلبية احتياجاتهم بما يعود عليهم بالنفع والفائدة.

وأوضحت أن الفعاليات تتضمن برنامجا تعليميا ترفيهيا، يتبع نظام التعليم القائم على المشاريع ، قام بتصميمه تربويون وخبراء في مجال التكنولوجيا والعلوم والفنون والرياضة، بهدف تنمية مهارات وقدرات الطلاب وجعلهم في حالة شغف دائم للبحث والاستكشاف ، فضلا عن كونه يشتمل كذلك على أنشطة متنوعة في مجالات مختلفة تعليمية وترفيهية ورياضية وتكنولوجية بالإضافة إلى الرحلات.

ونوهت بأن المراكز الصيفية تستهدف الطلبة القطريين والمقيمين في المدارس الحكومية، وأيضا الطلبة القطريين بالمدارس الخاصة، من عمر 6 إلى 18 سنة.
