Minister of Foreign Affairs discuss situation in Sudan and Somalia with Chairperson of Commission of African Union

African Union Commission Chairperson meets Special Envoy of Foreign Minister
The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, met yesterday at the commission’s headquarters in Addis Ababa with the Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar for Counterterrorism and Mediation of Conflict Resolution, Dr Mutlaq bin Majed Al Qahtani. The meeting discussed issues of mutual interest, particularly regional issues, including the current situation in Sudan and Somalia. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Hamad bin Mohammed Al Dosari and the African Union Commissioner for Peace and Security, Ambassador Smail Chergui.
اجتمع سعادة السيد موسى محمد فقي، رئيس مفوضية الاتحاد الإفريقي، أمس، بمقر المفوضية في أديس أبابا، مع سعادة الدكتور مطلق بن ماجد القحطاني المبعوث الخاص لوزير الخارجية لمكافحة الإرهاب والوساطة في تسوية المنازعات.
جرى خلال الاجتماع مناقشة القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك، وعلى وجه الخصوص القضايا الإقليمية، ومنها الأوضاع الحالية في السودان والصومال.
حضر الاجتماع سعادة السيد حمد بن محمد الدوسري، سفير دولة قطر لدى جمهورية إثيوبيا الفيدرالية الديمقراطية، وسعادة السيد إسماعيل شرقي مفوض شؤون السلم والأمن في الاتحاد الإفريقي.
