Huawei Watch GT smartwatch sells over 2 million units

Huawei announced this week that it has sold over two million units of the Huawei Watch GT smartwatch globally since its launch last October. This also makes the Watch GT the company’s most popular smartwatch yet. As per a report by analyst firm IDC, Huawei has posted a year-on-year growth of 282.2 per cent compared to the same quarter last year.
The company has shipped 5 million smartwatches in the first quarter of 2019, which puts it among the top three global wearable vendors. In March, the Huawei Watch GT was launched in India priced at Rs 15,990. That same month, Huawei also announced two new editions of the Watch GT, a 46mm Active Edition and 42mm Elegant Edition, in a bid to offer more styles and variety for consumers.
The Huawei Watch GT went official last year in October highlighting a 2-week battery life. The smartwatch sports a 1.39-inch OLED (454×454) display and ships with LiteOS. Additionally, the Watch GT also features Truseen 3.0 heart rate monitor that offers a 24-hour monitoring and can provide a detailed feedback on the user’s health. The smartwatch also supports Trusleep 2.0 which can identify six typical sleep problems and provide suggestions to improve sleep quality.
The Watch GT supports over 10 exercise modes that includes outdoor walking, hiking, trail run, swimming and cycling. The smartwatch supports Bluetooth v4.2 and NFC and is compatible with devices running Android 4.4 or later and iOS 9 or later. The Watch GT is water resistant up to 50 meters. It can be purchased in India via Amazon.

أعلنت مجموعة «هواوي» لأعمال المستهلكين، أن ساعتها الذكية «HUAWEI WATCH GT» حققت مبيعات عالمية تجاوزت مليوني وحدة منذ إطلاقها في أكتوبر الماضي، لتصبح بذلك ساعة «هواوي» الذكية الأكثر رواجاً حول العالم.
وتحقق «هواوي» مؤشرات مدهشة في هذا السوق؛ إذ يُظهر تقرير شركة «آي.دي.سي» المرموقة عن أقوى الشركات العالمية المنتجة للأجهزة القابلة للارتداء في الربع الأول من العام 2019، أن «هواوي» حققت نمواً سنوياً في هذه الفئة بنسبة 282.2 % بالمقارنة مع الربع ذاته من العام الماضي. كما نجحت في بيع أكثر من 5 ملايين وحدة من طرازاتها لهذه الفئة؛ مما عزّز من مكانتها وباتت ضمن أقوى 3 شركات عالمية منتجعة للأجهزة القابلة للارتداء.
وتحظى الساعة الذكية «HUAWEI WATCH GT» بقبول واسع من الإعلاميين والمستهلكين على حد سواء، وفازت بالعديد من الجوائز العالمية؛ لما تتمتع به من مواصفات تقنية متقدمة وخصوصاً على مستوى عمر البطارية.
وتشير الدراسات إلى أن مدة التشغيل القصيرة بين عمليات شحن البطاريات تمثّل إحدى نقاط المعاناة الرئيسة لدى المستهلكين من هذا النوع من الأجهزة. ولهذا، ركزت «هواوي» على إيجاد حل لهذه المشكلة، فزوّدت الساعة «WATCH GT» بنظام تشغيلها الذي طوّرته داخلياً: «هواوي لايت أو أس»، وصممتها ببنية تعتمد على رقاقتين لتزيد عمر البطارية وتمكّنها من العمل لمدة طويلة قبل شحنها مرة أخرى.
