“We have received with deep sorrow the news of the sudden death of former president Dr. Mohamed Morsi,”… “I extend to his family and to the Egyptian people the deepest condolences, HH said in a tweet.
Egyptian state television announced Monday the death of former president Mohamed Morsi during his trial.
The television said that “Morsi” suffered a fainting spell during the trial and died on its heels.
The session was to consider accusing the first democratically elected president (2012-2013) of “engaging with Hamas.”
Local media reported that Mursi, 67, asked to speak during the trial. The judge allowed him to speak. After the session was adjourned, he died of a fainting fainted and the body of the deceased was taken to a hospital (not named) for action.
“Ahmed,” the son of Morsi, confirmed the death of his father, and said in a publication via Facebook: “My father with God … we shall meet.”
Dr. Mursi was the first democratically elected president in the country’s history in 2012, following a popular uprising that forced former President Hosni Mubarak (1981-2011) to step down.

جاء ذلك في تغريدة لصاحب السمو عبر حساب سموه في “تويتر” قال فيها: “تلقينا ببالغ الأسى نبأ الوفاة المفاجئة للرئيس السابق الدكتور محمد مرسي .. أتقدم إلى عائلته وإلى الشعب المصري الشقيق بخالص العزاء.. إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون”.
وأعلن التلفزيون الرسمي المصري، الاثنين، وفاة الرئيس الأسبق، محمد مرسي، أثناء جلسة محاكمته.
وأوضح التلفزيون أن “مرسي” تعرض لنوبة إغماء أثناء المحاكمة، توفي على إثرها.
وكانت الجلسة تنظر في اتهام أول رئيس للبلاد منتخب ديمقراطيا (2012-2013)، بـ”التخابر مع حماس”.
وأوضحت وسائل إعلام محلية أن مرسي (67 عامًا) طلب الكلمة أثناء المحاكمة، وسمح له القاضي بالحديث، وعقب رفع الجلسة أُصيب بنوبة إغماء توفي على إثرها وأن جثمان الراحل تم نقله إلى مستشفى (لم تذكر اسمها) لاتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة.
وأكد “أحمد”، نجل مرسي، وفاة أبيه، وقال في منشور عبر فيسبوك: “أبي عند الله نلتقي”.
وكان الدكتور مرسي أول رئيس انتخب ديمقراطيًا في تاريخ البلاد، عام 2012، وذلك عقب ثورة شعبية أجبرت الرئيس الأسبق “حسني مبارك” (1981-2011) على التنحي.
