Ashghal opens new tunnel for traffic on Industrial Area Road
افتتاح نفق جديد بطريق الصناعية أمام الحركة المرورية
The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ opened a new unidirectional tunnel on Industrial Area Road on Thursday 30 May 2019, providing a direct link towards Barwa City.
The two-lane new tunnel is located between Mesaimeer Interchange and the interchange known as Wadi Lubara on the Industrial Area Road, and extends for 670 meters. The tunnel directly connects to Street 1115 and delivers a seamless free flowing link for road users of the Industrial Area Road coming from Doha and heading towards Barwa City, the Religious Complex as well as several educational and residential facilities.
This opening provides a new travel option that is more efficient than its former alternative as road users had to use the interchange known as Wadi Lubara on the Industrial Area Road, turn left towards Bu Samra Street then right to get to Street 1115 and reach Barwa City before the opening of the tunnel. Moving forward, motorists will be able to use the free-flowing new tunnel to reach their destinations.
افتتحت هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” نفق جديد ذو اتجاه واحد على طريق الصناعية ليوفر ربطاً مباشراً باتجاه مدينة بروة، وذلك مساء الخميس الموافق 30 مايو 2019.يقع النفق الذي يتضمن حارتين، ما بين تقاطع مسيمير والتقاطع المعروف بتقاطع وادي لوبرة على طريق الصناعية ويمتد لمسافة 670 متراً. ويتصل النفق مباشرة بالشارع 1115 ليوفر انسيابية مرورية حرّة لمرتادي طريق الصناعية القادمين من الدوحة نحو مدينة بروة ومجمع الأديان وعدد من المنشآت التعليمية والمجمعات السكنية.
ويوفر هذا الافتتاح خياراً جديداً ومباشراً أكثر كفاءة من بديله السابق للوصول إلى مدينة بروة، حيث تعين على رواد الطريق قبل الافتتاح استخدام التقاطع المعروف بوادي لوبرة بطريق المنطقة الصناعية ثم الانعطاف يساراً عند شارع بو سمرة ثم الانعطاف يميناً إلى شارع 1115 للوصول إلى مدينة بروة. بينما يستطيع مستخدمي الطريق من الآن فصاعداً استخدام النفق الذي يوفر انسيابية مرورية حرّة للوصول إلى وجهاتهم.
