Qatar’s Attorney-General meets Adviser to French President

Qatar’s Attorney—General H E Dr Ali bin Fettais Al Marri met yesterday with the Adviser to the President of the French Republic, the National Counter-Terrorism Coordinator, Pierre Bousquet de Florian.
Discussions during the meeting dealt with a number of issues of mutual interest.
On the other hand, H E the Attorney—General signed a partnership agreement yesterday with the President of the Arab World Institute in Paris, Jack Lang, between the Institute and the Voltaire Schools in Doha. The partnership agreement between the Voltaire schools and the Arab World Institute aims to award specialized academic degrees in Arabic language to students over the age of 15 years.
The agreement makes Voltaire a test and certification center in the Arabic language of the Arab World Institute in accordance with high linguistic standards enabling students of any Arab or other nationality to obtain a certificate in the Arabic language authenticated by the Arab World Institute in Paris, where the school administration is responsible for providing quality controls to become one of the annual testing centers for students in Qatar.
The Arabic Language Certificate, awarded by the Arab World Institute, is the world’s first recognised internationally by the International Center for Educational Studies specialised in education in France, where student has to obtain a certificate of graduation in Arabic language after passing six levels of language assessment tests during his or her pre-university studies and also for university students who want to apply for the
Arabic language examinations to obtain a scientific qualification added to their study. This partnership with the Arab World Institute is the first of its kind in the Arab region since Doha will become the largest center for examinations to award Arabic language certificates.
The agreement was signed during the meeting of H E the Attorney—General with the President of the Arab World Institute, in the presence of the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the French Republic, Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al -Thani.
اجتمع سعادة الدكتور علي بن فطيس المري، النائب العام، الذي يزور باريس حالياً، مع سعادة السيد بيير بوسكيه، مستشار رئيس الجمهورية الفرنسية، المنسق الوطني لشؤون مكافحة الإرهاب.
جرى خلال الاجتماع مناقشة عدد من المواضيع والقضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
من جهة أخرى، وقّع سعادة الدكتور علي بن فطيس المري اتفاقية شراكة، أمس، مع السيد جاك لانغ رئيس معهد العالم العربي في باريس، وذلك بين المعهد ومدارس فولتير بالدوحة.
وتهدف اتفاقية الشراكة بين مدارس فولتير ومعهد العالم العربي لمنح شهادات علمية تخصصية في اللغة العربية للطلاب الذين تزيد أعمارهم عن 15 سنة.
وتجعل الاتفاقية من مدرسة فولتير أحد مراكز الاختبار ومنح الشهادات في اللغة العربية من معهد العالم العربي، وفق معايير لغوية عالية تمكّن الطالب من أي جنسية عربية أو غيرها، من الحصول على شهادة في اللغة العربية، موثقة من معهد العالم العربي في باريس، حيث تتكفل إدارة المدرسة بتوفير ضوابط الرقابة والجودة، لتصبح أحد مراكز الاختبار السنوي للطلبة في قطر.
وتعتبر شهادة اللغة العربية، التي يمنحها معهد العالم العربي، هي الأولى على مستوى العالم المعترف بها دولياً، وتم إقرارها من المركز الدولي للدراسات التربوية المتخصصة في مجال التعليم في فرنسا، بحيث يتوجب على الطالب للحصول على شهادة التخرج باللغة العربية اجتياز ستة مستويات من اختبارات التقييم اللغوي، خلال مسيرته الدراسية ما قبل الدراسات الجامعية، وأيضاً للطلبة الجامعيين الراغبين بالتقدم لامتحانات اللغة العربية، للحصول على مؤهل علمي يضاف إلى محصلتهم الدراسية.
وتعتبر هذه الشراكة مع معهد العالم العربي هي الأولى من نوعها في المنطقة العربية، كون الدوحة ستصبح أكبر مركز امتحانات لمنح شهادات اللغة العربية.
وقد تم التوقيع على الاتفاقية خلال اجتماع سعادة النائب العام مع رئيس معهد العالم العربي، وذلك بحضور سعادة الشيخ علي بن جاسم آل ثاني سفير دولة قطر لدى الجمهورية الفرنسية.
