MME installs 350 greenhouses in 85 local farms to raise production
توزيع 350 بيتاً محمياً على 85 مزرعة بالدولة
Doha: The Ministry of Municipality and Environment represented by the Agricultural Affairs Department has imported and installed 350 cool and regular greenhouses in 85 local farms to increase agricultural production.
The Ministry also provided 500,000 packing boxes to 100 farms at the rate of 5,000 boxes per farm. A total of 800 Qatari farms are benefiting from this project.
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment said that the provision of these greenhouses and equipment is within the support provided to the owners of farms and within its efforts to develop existing local farms to increase their production.
The support focused on supplying cool and regular greenhouses and those equipped with hydroponic system, in addition to the necessary seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and other supplies such as packing boxes of six kg for marketing local vegetables in different sales outlets as well as other requirements for marketing local agricultural products.
The State of Qatar attaches great importance to the agricultural sector through which it aims to achieve food security as one of the most important current and future priorities. In this regard, the State is keen to support the agricultural sector in order to achieve the highest possible level of self-sufficiency.
The government allocated about QR70m annually to support the agricultural sector over the next five years to increase local production of vegetables, animals and fish.
قامت وزارة البلدية والبيئة -ممثلة بإدارة الشؤون الزراعية- خلال الفترة الماضية، بتوريد وتركيب 350 بيتاً محمياً مبرداً وعادياً، وتوزيعها على 85 مزرعة، وتوريد وتركيب 500 ألف صندوق تعبئة على 100 مزرعة، بواقع 5 آلاف صندوق لكل مزرعة.
يأتي ذلك ضمن دعم حائزي المزارع المسجلة بالدولة، والتي تعمل الدولة جاهدة على زيادة الإنتاج المحلي منها، باعتبارها واحدة من الركائز الأساسية للإنتاج، من خلال تطوير المزارع القائمة وزيادة إنتاجها؛ حيث تم توفير بعض بنود هذا الدعم في شهر فبراير للبيوت المحمية العادية والمبردة والهيدروبونيك وصناديق التسويق البلاستيكية.
وتركز الدعم بشكل أساسي على البيوت المحمية المبردة والعادية والهايدروبونيك، بالإضافة إلى مستلزمات الإنتاج، من بذور وأسمدة ومبيدات، وبعض المستلزمات الأخرى كصناديق التعبئة لتسويق الخضراوات المحلية بمنافذ البيع المختلفة.
وتولي دولة قطر القطاع الزراعي أهمية كبيرة، باعتباره القطاع المنوط به تحقيق الأمن الغذائي، ولكونه أحد أهم أولويات الدولة خلال الفترة الحالية والمقبلة. ونتيجة لهذا الاهتمام حرصت الدولة على دعم القطاع الزراعي، بهدف الوصول إلى أعلى نسبة ممكنة من الاكتفاء الذاتي، فأولت شاريع القطاع الزراعي اهتماماً خاصاً، واعتمدت دعم هذا القطاع بنحو 70 مليون ريال سنوياً، ولمدة 5 سنوات في جميع مجالات الإنتاج النباتي والحيواني والسمكي.
الجدير بالذكر أن عدد المزارع المستفيدة من هذا الدعم يبلغ حوالي 800 مزرعة.
