Doha: Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas at the Amiri Diwan yesterday evening.
They discussed the situation in Palestine, where President of the State of Palestine briefed H H the Amir on the latest developments, and expressed sincere thanks to H H the Amir for Qatar’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause and for its standing with the Palestinian people in facing the difficult circumstances and challenges.
The meeting was attended by a number of Their Excellencies the ministers, and members of the official delegation accompanying the Palestinian President. The Amir also hosted, at the Amiri Diwan, an iftar banquet in honour of Palestine President and the delegation accompanying him. استقبل حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، أخاه فخامة الرئيس محمود عباس، رئيس دولة فلسطين الشقيقة بالديوان الأميري، مساء أمس. جرى خلال المقابلة بحث الأوضاع في فلسطين، حيث أطلع فخامة الرئيس سمو الأمير على آخر المستجدات، معرباً فخامته عن خالص شكره لسمو الأمير على دعم دولة قطر الثابت للقضية الفلسطينية، وعلى وقوفها الدائم مع الشعب الفلسطيني في الظروف والتحديات الصعبة التي يواجهها. حضر المقابلة عدد من أصحاب السعادة الوزراء، وحضرها من الجانب الفلسطيني أعضاء الوفد الرسمي المرافق لفخامة الرئيس.
