Shura Council Holds Regular Weekly Meeting

Doha: The Shura Council held its regular weekly meeting on Monday, under the chairmanship of HE the Speaker Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud, via video conference at the Council’s headquarters.

During its session, the Council reviewed the work of a number of its permanent committees and learned about their efforts in studying draft laws referred to them by the Council to prepare and submit their reports on them.

HE the Speaker of the Shura Council stressed the important role that these committees play in the careful and in-depth study of draft laws that the government refers to the Council, and in preparing comprehensive and thoughtful reports on these draft laws, with specific recommendations whenever necessary and useful, in addition to the role of these committees in preparing reports on requests for general discussion and suggestions submitted by the members to the council that cover various service, economic, social and cultural fields.

The rapporteurs of the relevant committees spoke at the session, who clarified the progress of work in studying draft laws and the topics referred to these committees, and confirmed keenness to complete the committees’ tasks and submit their reports to the council as soon as possible, based on the council’s keenness to keep pace with the rapid pace of the legislative development in the country.

الدوحة: عقد مجلس الشورى جلسته الأسبوعية العادية يوم الأمس، برئاسة سعادة السيد أحمد بن عبدالله بن زيد آل محمود رئيس المجلس، وذلك عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي بمقر المجلس.

واستعرض المجلس خلال جلسته أعمال عدد من لجانه الدائمة، ووقف على جهودها في دراسة مشروعات القوانين المحالة إليها من المجلس، تمهيدا لإعداد تقاريرها حولها وتقديمها إليه.

وأكد سعادة رئيس مجلس الشورى على الدور الهام الذي تقوم به هذه اللجان في الدراسة المتأنية والمعمقة لمشروعات القوانين التي تحيلها الحكومة إلى المجلس، وفي إعداد تقارير وافية ومدروسة لهذه المشروعات، مشفوعة بتوصيات محددة متى ما كان ذلك ضروريا ومفيدا، وذلك إلى جانب دور هذه اللجان في إعداد التقارير الخاصة بطلبات المناقشة العامة والاقتراحات برغبة التي يتقدم بها الأعضاء إلى المجلس وتشمل مختلف المجالات الخدمية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية.

وتحدث في الجلسة مقررو اللجان المعنية الذين أوضحوا سير العمل في دراسة مشروعات القوانين والموضوعات المحالة إلى هذه اللجان، وأكدوا حرصهم على إنجاز مهام اللجان على أكمل وجه وتقديم تقاريرها إلى المجلس في أسرع وقت ممكن، انطلاقا من حرص المجلس على مواكبة الإيقاع السريع للنهضة التشريعية التي تشهدها البلاد.
