Doha to host 8th Global Warming Conference

Doha: Doha will host the 8th Conference on Global Warming, organised by Qatar University with the support of the Qatar National Research Fund, which will be held from April 22 to 25.
The conference, which is attended by more than 170 researchers and lecturers from the world’s leading universities, aims to develop a better understanding of global warming by promoting research and related studies in partnership with many interested academic and industrial sectors to shape the future of this field and develop related research.
The conference will include plenary sessions and keynote lectures on energy, environment, materials, sustainable development and industrial waste, as well as the development of the gas, oil and petrochemical industry, providing greater opportunities for exchange of technical information, presentation of new policies and scientific progress to promote sustainable development.
The organisers of the conference at the College of Engineering at Qatar University have confirmed that six international journals have been contracted to publish high-quality scientific papers, which will be presented to the conference, on a large scale in special editions.
Conference Chair Rahul Bhosale said that this event has been successfully organized since 2008 in different parts of the world adding that the organizing committee started working on a large scale to promote success, especially in terms of developing its technical and social content.

تستضيف الدوحة خلال الفترة من 22 وحتى 25 من إبريل الجاري مؤتمر الاحتباس الحراري العالمي الثامن، والذي تنظمه جامعة قطر بدعم من الصندوق القطري لرعاية البحث العلمي.
ويهدف المؤتمر الذي يحضره أكثر من 170 باحثا ومحاضرا من أعرق الجامعات العالمية، إلى تطوير فهم أفضل للاحتباس الحراري، من خلال تعزيز الأبحاث والدراسات ذات الصلة وذلك بالشراكة مع العديد من المهتمين في القطاعات الأكاديمية والصناعية لتشكيل مستقبل هذا المجال وتطوير الأبحاث المتعلقة به.
ويشتمل المؤتمر على جلسات عامة ومحاضرات رئيسية حول عدة موضوعات تتعلق بالطاقة والبيئة والمواد، والتنمية المستدامة، ومخلفات الصناعة، وكذلك التطور في صناعة الغاز والبترول والبتروكيماويات، مما يتيح الفرصة بشكل أكبر لتبادل المعلومات التقنية، وعرض السياسات الجديدة، وبيان التقدم العلمي لتعزيز التنمية المستدامة.
وأكد منظمو المؤتمر في كلية الهندسة بجامعة قطر أنه تم التعاقد مع ست مجلات عالمية محكمة لنشر الورقات العلمية عالية الجودة المقدمة إلى المؤتمر بشكل موسع في أعداد خاصة.
بدوره قال الدكتور راهول بوسال رئيس المؤتمر “إنه تم تنظيم هذا الحدث بنجاح منذ 2008 في أنحاء مختلفة من العالم، وبدأنا بالفعل العمل على نطاق واسع لتعزيز النجاح لاسيما في جانب تطوير محتواه التقني والاجتماعي”.
