‘Aspire Zone plant a leading model for cooling stadiums’

Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) announced yesterday that Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) cooling plant is a leading model for cooling stadiums.
It said this is because of the the district cooling system technology which is being used and its ability to cool stadiums innovatively. Besides it is environmentally friendly.
Kahramaa added that the system used is the most efficient. It saves energy by providing a more ideal atmosphere in the stadium by reducing the temperature by 10 degrees Celsius through intelligent air handling and control units.
Kahramaa said the department of district cooling services conducted a field tour of the district cooling station, which is operated by AZF as part of its sustainable development strategy.
It currently supplies Khalifa International Stadium, the expansion of the Aspire Academy and AZF’s main building with cooling services.
Kahramaa has planned in the future to provide the station with 12 other buildings in the Aspire Zone area, part of the department’s mission and its role in monitoring and regulating the work of district cooling services in the State.
The Kahramaa team followed up the operation of Khalifa International Stadium and Aspire Zone area which features a design capacity of 81,600 tonnes of cooling capacity and current operating capacity of 52,200 tonnes of cooling.
It is also equipped with state-of-the-art control and control systems that are good for energy efficiency and it is also designed and equipped to use directly treated water.
This increases the sustainability of water resources as Kahramaa is working to strengthen water security in the country by shifting the use of treated wastewater rather than using drinking water in all district cooling stations, which a leading model and living example that AZF for other sports and non-sports facilities to follow.
Through regulating and supervising district cooling, Kahramaa aims to provide electricity, drinking water, sustainable water resources, environmental conservation and all new technologies in district cooling services in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 goals.

محطة «أسباير زون» تمتلك قدرة تصل إلى 81600 طن
إن استخدام نظام تبريد المناطق في الملاعب تقنية مبتكرة وصديقة للبيئة، لذا تعتبر أكثر الأنظمة فاعلية وتوفيراً للطاقة، من خلال توفير أجواء أكثر مثالية في الملعب عن طريق خفض درجة الحرارة في الملعب بمقدار 10 درجات مئوية، من خلال وحدات معالجة الهواء والتحكم الذكي.
ولهذا؛ فقد قامت إدارة خدمات تبريد المناطق بالمؤسسة العامة القطرية للكهرباء والماء «كهرماء» بجولة ميدانية في محطة تبريد المناطق (مركز الطاقة) العاملة التي أنشأتها وتقوم بتشغيلها مؤسسة أسباير زون، ضمن استراتيجيتها للتنمية المستدامة التي تزود حالياً استاد خليفة الدولي، وتوسعة أكاديمية أسباير، والمبنى الرئيسي لمؤسسة أسباير زون. ومن المخطط مستقبلاً أن تزود 12 مبنى آخر في منطقة أسباير زون، وذلك في إطار مهام الإدارة ودورها في مراقبة وتنظيم أعمال خدمات تبريد المناطق في الدولة.

وقد قام فريق «كهرماء» برئاسة المهندس عبدالعزيز الحمادي -مدير إدارة خدمات تبريد المناطق ومهندسي الإدارة- بمتابعة سير عمل المحطة الخاصة باستاد خليفة الدولي ومنطقة «أسباير زون»، التي تتميز بقدرة تصميمية تصل إلى 81600 طن تبريد، وقدرة تشغيلية حالية تصل إلى 52200 طن تبريد، مجهزة بأحدث الأجهزة وأنظمة التحكم والمراقبة، التي تتمتع بأداء عالي لكفاءة الطاقة، ومصممة ومجهزة لاستخدام المياه المعالجة بشكل مباشر، الأمر الذي يزيد من استدامة الموارد المائية.
وتعمل «كهرماء» على تعزيز الأمن المائي في الدولة، من خلال التحول لاستخدام مياه الصرف الصحي المعالجة، بدلاً من استخدام المياه الصالحة للشرب في جميع محطات تبريد المناطق، وهو ما يعدّ نموذجاً رائداً ومثالاً حياً تقدمه مؤسسة أسباير زون في هذا المجال ليحتذى به في مختلف المنشآت الرياضية وغير الرياضية في الدولة.
وتهدف «كهرماء» من خلال تنظيم ومراقبة خدمات التبريد المركزي للمناطق، إلى توفير الكهرباء والمياه الصالحة للشرب واستدامة الموارد المائية، والحفاظ على البيئة، ومواكبة استخدام كل التقنيات الجديدة في خدمات تبريد المناطق، بما يتفق مع أهداف رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030.
