Vodafone completes GigaNet fibre roll-out in and around Aspire Zone

Vodafone Qatar has announced that it is has completed the roll out of its GigaNet fibre connectivity across the Aspire Zone sports complex, home to some of the world’s finest sporting facilities and due to play a prominent role in the upcoming 2022 World Cup.

The fibre connectivity, capable of handling speeds of up to 1Gigabit per second, coupled with Vodafone’s live 5G network, now provides the Aspire Zone with a world-class communications infrastructure that allows its facilities to optimise, automate, and innovate.

With hundreds of thousands of visitors expected to descend on Aspire Zone in four years to watch the Middle East’s first World Cup inside Khalifa Stadium, high speed connectivity and technology will form a large part of delivering an unforgettable fan experience.

Vodafone Qatar said: “Aspire Zone is doing incredible work helping develop a strong sports community in the country and raising a new generation of athletes. We are pleased to expand our fibre footprint in the country to include such a key player, providing it with our state-of-the-art infrastructure and making further progress in our ambition to turn Qatar into one of the most connected countries in the world. Aiming to build a strong digital ecosystem in Qatar, Vodafone has been providing some of the country’s most important projects with a variety of services, including fibre connectivity, 5G network and IoT solutions.

Last month, Vodafone launched GigaNet – the network of the future – the company’s promise to continuously pioneer the latest technologies and innovations.

أعلنت شركة «فودافون قطر» عن استكمال إنجاز شبكة «جيجانت- الألياف الضوئية» في مجمّع «أسباير زون» الرياضي، الذي يضم عدداً من أفضل المرافق الرياضية في العالم، ومن المقرر أن يلعب دوراً محورياً في استضافة بطولة كأس العالم لكرة القدم 2022.

وتمتاز شبكة الألياف الضوئية بقدرتها على تشغيل سرعات فائقة تصل إلى 1 جيجابيت في الثانية، وتساهم إلى جانب شبكة اتصالات الجيل الخامس (5G) من «فودافون قطر» في تزويد «أسباير زون» ببنية تحتية عالمية المستوى للاتصالات؛ لتحقيق أقصى درجات التميّز والابتكار والتطور التكنولوجي.

وفي ضوء التوقعات المستقبلية بتوافد مئات الآلاف من الزوار إلى استاد خليفة الدولي في «أسباير زون» لحضور أول بطولة لكأس العالم بكرة القدم في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، ستشكّل التكنولوجيا وخدمات الاتصالات عالية السرعة جزءاً محورياً من المساعي المبذولة لتوفير تجربة فريدة للمشجعين.
