Turkish Minister: Qatar achieved high rates in food security, self-sufficiency
وزير الزراعة التركي: قطر حققت نسباً عالية في الاكتفاء الذاتي والأمن الغذائي
Doha: The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey, Bekir Pakdemirli, said Qatar was able to achieve great success and high rates in the field of self-sufficiency and food security in a short time, which proves that the blockade has turned into a blessing, and that despite it, Qatar has successfully invested in these vital sectors.
Speaking on the sidelines of Qatar’s 7th International Agricultural Exhibition AgriteQ and Qatar’s first international environmental exhibition EnviroteQ, the Minister said the great preparations accompanying these two important events, confirms that the State of Qatar has made great strides in food security and providing food, especially after the blockade, which is a great success in these areas.
He said the large numbers participating in the exhibitions shows Qatar’s vision and how much it gives importance to food security lauding the great participation and what it achieves.
The Minister said that during his tour of the exhibitions he met with officials from participating Turkish and Qatari companies led by Hassad Food.
The Minister also met with a number of officials and spoke with them all about common issues, especially with regard to food security, pointing out that such important international events reflect the great development of the agricultural sector in Qatar.
He praised the development of the Qatari-Turkish relations and the importance of sustaining the communication between the officials of both countries. He confirmed that Ankara is determined to increase and strengthen its relations with Doha.

أكد سعادة السيد بكر باك ديمرلي وزير الزراعة والغابات بالجمهورية التركية، أن دولة قطر استطاعت بنجاح كبير ولافت تحقيق معدلات ونسب عالية ومتقدمة في مجال الاكتفاء الذاتي والأمن الغذائي وفي وقت وجيز، ما يبرهن على أن الحصار قد انقلب إلى نعمة، وأن الدوحة رغم الحصار عليها قد استثمرت في هذه القطاعات الحيوية بكل نجاح.
ونوه سعادته، في تصريح خاص لوكالة الأنباء القطرية /قنا/ على هامش فعاليات معرض قطر الزراعي الدولي السابع والمعرض البيئي الأول، بأن التجهيزات الكبيرة التي تصاحب هاتين الفعاليتين المهمتين، وما تضمانه من معروضات ومنتجات، تؤكد أن دولة قطر خطت خطوات كبيرة في موضوع الأمن الغذائي وتوفير الغذاء خصوصا بعد الحصار، ما يعد نجاحا كبيرا في هذه المجالات.
وقال إن حجم المشاركة الكبيرة في المعرض الزراعي والمعرض البيئي توضح رؤية قطر ومدى اهتمامها بموضوع الأمن الغذائي، مضيفا “هذه المشاركة الكبيرة وما تحقق من إنجاز أمر يسرنا ويفرحنا”.
وأشار إلى أنه التقى خلال جولته بالمعرضين بالمسؤولين في الشركات التركية والقطرية المشاركة وعلى رأسها شركة “حصاد الغذائية” وأيضا مع عدد من المسؤولين وتحدث معهم جميعا حول القضايا المشتركة، لا سيما فيما يخص الأمن الغذائي، موضحا أن مثل هذه الفعاليات الدولية المهمة تعكس التطور الكبير للقطاع الزراعي في قطر، معربا عن شكره وتقديره لكل من ساهم في الإعداد والتنظيم.
وأشاد في سياق متصل بتطور العلاقات القطرية التركية وبأهمية استمرار التواصل بين المسؤولين في البلدين الشقيقين. مؤكدا أن أنقرة عازمة على زيادة وتوثيق علاقاتها مع الدوحة “وهي أصلا قوية ومتطورة”، كما أكد كذلك تطلع البلدين المستمر لتعزيز وزيادة حجم التعاون الزراعي والاقتصادي المشترك بينهما في شتى مجالاته وقطاعاته، منوها بأن نتائج كل ذلك ستظهر في أقرب وقت.
