Shura Council Speaker holds meetings during APU conference
رئيس «الشورى» يعزز العلاقات البرلمانية مع عُمان ولبنان والعراق
The Speaker of Shura Council, H E Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud, met separately yesterday with the Speaker of the Shura Council of the Sultanate of Oman, Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali; the Speaker of the Parliament of the Lebanese Republic, Nabih Berri; and Speaker of the Council of Representatives of the Republic of Iraq, Mohamed Al Halbousi, on the sidelines of the 29th Conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union (APU), held in Amman under the slogan “Jerusalem, the eternal capital of the State of Palestine”. Discussions dealt with parliamentary relations of common interest and ways of strengthening them. The meeting was attended by a number of members of the Shura Council.
التقى سعادة السيد أحمد بن عبدالله بن زيد آل محمود رئيس مجلس الشورى، أمس، مع كل من سعادة الشيخ خالد بن هلال المعولي رئيس مجلس الشورى بسلطنة عُمان الشقيقة، ودولة السيد نبيه بري رئيس مجلس النواب في الجمهورية اللبنانية الشقيقة، وسعادة السيد محمد الحلبوسي رئيس مجلس النواب بجمهورية العراق الشقيقة، كل على حدة، وذلك على هامش المؤتمر التاسع والعشرين للاتحاد البرلماني العربي الذي عقد بالعاصمة الأردنية عمان تحت شعار «القدس العاصمة الأبدية لدولة فلسطين». جرى خلال هذه اللقاءات مناقشة العلاقات البرلمانية ذات الاهتمام المشترك وسبل تعزيزها ودعمها. حضر اللقاءات عدد من أعضاء مجلس الشورى.
