Amir to patronise launch of Reservoirs Project today

Doha: Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will patronise today the launch ceremony of Water Security Mega Reservoirs Project held by the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation at the pumping stations in the Umm Salal Ali area. This project which is strategic for the State of Qatar’s water security is considered one of the largest of its kind in the world. The cornerstone of the project was laid in May 2015.

يتفضل حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، فيشمل برعايته الكريمة صباح اليوم الثلاثاء، حفل تدشين مشروع الخزانات الاستراتيجية الكبرى لتأمين المياه، الذي تقيمه المؤسسة العامة القطرية للكهرباء والماء، بمحطة تخزين المياه في منطقة أم صلال علي.

ويعد هذا المشروع الاستراتيجي للأمن المائي في قطر من الأكبر من نوعه على مستوى العالم، وقد تم وضع حجر أساس المشروع في مايو 2015.;
