HMC honours team members on Asian Cup victory
حمد الطبية تكرم الأبطال بالفوز بكأس آسيا
Doha: The Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) Ambulance Service yesterday welcomed members of the Qatar national football team to its headquarters to show its respect and admiration for the team’s recent victory at the 2019 Asian Cup.
Among those in attendance were national team captain, Hassan Al Haydos, and the team’s management who brought the Asian Cup trophy to an informal celebratory event at the Ambulance Service base where they met with H E Dr Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari, Minister of Public Health, senior leaders from across HMC and more than 100 Ambulance Service staff.
During a short informal ceremony, Dr Al Kuwari and members of the Ambulance Service leadership presented gifts to the football team as a sign of their appreciation for what they have achieved.
“Winning the Asian Cup for the first time is an incredible achievement and one which has brought so much joy to people in Qatar. On behalf of everyone at HMC I congratulate the entire football team and its management on this historic victory. Today we are proud and honoured to welcome the players and management to the Ambulance Service and to celebrate this success with them,” said Ali Abdulla Al Khater, HMC’s Chief Communications Officer and Chair of the Healthcare Communications Committee.
Dr Robert Owen, Chief Executive Officer of the Ambulance Service, explained how the football team’s historic win impacted his staff. “As the team progressed through the rounds of the Asian Cup it was clear that there was a sense that something special was about to happen and everyone in the Ambulance Service was full of excitement and pride. The team played with confidence, respect and belief, and it was truly inspirational to everyone watching.”
Faleh Al Hajri, Senior Production Manager for Ambulance Fleet, welcomed the football team to the event with few words of appreciation. “As a proud Qatari and a keen football fan, I followed the football team’s courageous journey through the Asian Cup with great delight and emotion. To be able to celebrate hand-in-hand with the players today is wonderful for all of us at the Ambulance Service and is a memory that will stay with us forever,” he said. After the speeches and presentation of gifts, members of the Ambulance Service in attendance were able to interact with the players and convey their personal congratulations and admiration.
استضافت خدمة الإسعاف بمؤسسة حمد الطبية أمس، عدداً من أعضاء منتخب قطر لكرة القدم في مقرها الرئيسي، في لفتة تقدير وتكريم بمناسبة فوز المنتخب مؤخراً ببطولة كأس آسيا 2019.
وشارك بعض أعضاء منتخب قطر لكرة القدم، يتقدمهم قائد الفريق حسن الهيدوس والجهاز الإداري للمنتخب، في الاحتفال الذي أقيم على شرفهم في المقر الرئيسي لخدمة الإسعاف، حاملين معهم كأس بطولة آسيا، حيث التقوا بسعادة الدكتورة حنان محمد الكواري وزيرة الصحة العامة، وكبار الكوادر القيادية في مؤسسة حمد الطبية، فضلاً عن أكثر من 100 من العاملين في خدمة الإسعاف.
وقدمت سعادة الدكتورة حنان الكواري وكوادر قيادية بخدمة الإسعاف، هدايا لأعضاء المنتخب، تعبيراً عن تقديرهم للإنجاز الكبير الذي حققه الفريق.
وقال السيد علي عبدالله الخاطر الرئيس التنفيذي للاتصال المؤسسي بمؤسسة حمد الطبية: «يعتبر الفوز للمرة الأولى ببطولة كأس آسيا إنجازاً مذهلاً وحدثاً زرع البهجة في نفوس الشعب القطري، باسم جميع العاملين بمؤسسة حمد الطبية، أتقدم بالتهنئة إلى المنتخب بكامل أعضائه والقائمين على إدارته على هذا الانتصار التاريخي، ونتشرف اليوم باستقبالنا اللاعبين والقائمين على إدارة المنتخب في مقر خدمة الإسعاف، والاحتفال بهذا الفوز معاً».
من جانبه، شرح الدكتور روبرت أوين الرئيس التنفيذي لخدمة الإسعاف، أثر الفوز التاريخي الذي حققه منتخب كرة القدم على العاملين في الإسعاف، قائلاً: «مع تقدم الفريق القطري عبر الجولات في بطولة آسيا، بدا واضحاً الشعور الذي كان مخيّماً بأن شيئاً مميزاً على وشك أن يحدث، بحيث طغى على الجميع شعور بالحماسة والفخر، فالفريق شارك في المباريات بثقة واحترام وإيمان، ما شكل مصدر إلهام للمشاهدين كافة».
ورحّب السيد فالح الهاجري مدير أسطول خدمة الإسعاف بمؤسسة حمد الطبية، بمشاركة منتخب كرة القدم في هذا الحدث، وأعرب عن تقديره قائلاً: «بصفتي مواطناً قطرياً فخوراً ببلدي، ومن مشجعي رياضة كرة القدم، تابعت مسيرة المنتخب الشجاعة خلال بطولة كأس آسيا بمتعة وحماسة شديدة، ولا شك أن الجميع في خدمة الإسعاف يشعرون بسعادة غامرة، لأن الفرصة متاحة أمامنا للاحتفال جنباً إلى جنب مع اللاعبين، وستبقى هذه الذكرى محفورة في قلوبنا إلى الأبد».
