Ooredoo boosts home broadband speed at no extra cost

Ooredoo has announced the launch of its new ‘Home Internet’ plans, a new line-up of “ultra-fast Home Broadband offerings catering to all households – from small to large dwellings”.

This will make home Internet speeds up to five times faster at no extra charge, the company has said in a statement.

The launch of the five superior new Home Internet plans is “underpinned by Ooredoo’s continued commitment to and investment in the country’s only nationwide fibre infrastructure, which will continue to deliver for the future outstanding world-class unlimited broadband to homes in Qatar at speeds of up to 10Gbps, together with the best-in-class TV entertainment unmatched across Qatar and the rest of the GCC”, the statement notes.

As of today, 99% of all homes in Qatar can access these new plans and Ooredoo has announced that all existing Ooredoo Fibre Home customers have already been upgraded to the new plans delivering up to five times more speed for no extra cost.

“Customers now have the opportunity to ‘onboard’ for as little as QR300 monthly on the entry plan and enjoy 50Mbps Home Internet together with Qatar’s best-in-class Ooredoo TV and up to 10Gbps for our premium top-end offering,” Ooredoo said.

Customers selecting 150Mbps, 500Mbps, 1Gbps and 10Gbps Home Internet plans will get access to a premium package of sports and entertainment, while all plans automatically include subscription to the StarzPlay on-demand channel.

All plans come with “best-in-class Wi-Fi, ensuring that all household members enjoy the best of the Internet and our great TV”, it adds.

On the free Internet speed boost, she added: “We are pleased to give our existing customers a free and automatic upgrade to the new plans so that they enjoy faster Internet speeds at no additional cost, as an expression of our gratitude and appreciation and as a reward for their loyalty. As we’ve mentioned on previous occasions, the satisfaction of our customers is our top priority, and we hope they will enjoy these amazing new speeds.”

Customers on Fibre Home Broadband plans were already upgraded automatically on February 26. Those on other Fibre Home plans will be contacted to migrate to the new Home Internet plans.

ويأتي إطلاق «ooredoo» للباقات الجديدة ضمن إطار التزام الشركة المستمر بالاستثمار في تطوير البنية التحتية لشبكة الألياف الضوئية، والتي تعد شبكة الألياف الضوئية الوحيدة المنتشرة في كل أنحاء قطر. ومع الباقات الجديدة، ستوفر «ooredoo» للعملاء سرعات فائقة للغاية تصل لغاية 10 جيجابت بالثانية، إلى جانب أفضل محتوى ترفيهي في قطر والمنطقة عبر خدمة ooredoo tv.

ترقية مجانية

وأعلنت «ooredoo» أنه واعتباراً من أمس، سيكون بإمكان 99% من المنازل في قطر الاستفادة من مزايا الباقات الجديدة، كما أعلنت الشركة أنها قامت بترقية اشتراكات جميع عملاء باقات الألياف الضوئية المنزلية الحاليين لباقات الإنترنت المنزلي الجديدة تلقائياً ومجاناً، ليحصلوا بذلك على 5 أضعاف سرعة الإنترنت الحالية لديهم دون أي تكلفة إضافية.

وأكدت الشركة أن أسعار الباقات الجديدة ستبقى كما هي دون أي تغيير، رغم ترقية السرعة فيها إلى ما يصل لغاية 5 أضعاف، وهذا يعني أن العملاء الحاليين سيحصلون على 5 أضعاف السرعة الحالية لديهم دون أي تكلفة إضافية، أما العملاء غير المشتركين بالخدمة، فيمكنهم الاستمتاع بسرعات تبدأ من 50 ميجابت بالثانية مقابل 300 ر.ق فقط شهرياً.

الباقات الجديدة

وسيحصل العملاء الذين يختارون الاشتراك في باقات الإنترنت المنزلي الجديدة (فئات 150 ميجابت بالثانية، و500 ميجابت بالثانية، و1 جيجابت بالثانية، و10 جيجابت بالثانية) على باقة beIN الكاملة ضمن اشتراكاتهم، بالإضافة إلى خدمة STARZPLAY الترفيهية؛ التي ستكون متوفرة مجاناً مع جميع باقات الإنترنت المنزلي.

وتأتي جميع الباقات الجديدة مزودة بأحدث معدات وأجهزة الواي فاي المنزلي؛ الذي يضمن للعملاء توفير تغطية شاملة للإنترنت، والمحتوى الترفيهي في جميع أنحاء منازلهم على اختلاف أحجامها.

وتعليقاً على باقات الألياف الضوئية الجديدة، قالت منار خليفة المريخي، مديرة إدارة العلاقات العامة واتصالات الشركة في «ooredoo»: «نواصل في ooredoo البحث المستمر عن أفضل الطرق للارتقاء بتجربة عملائنا، وتعد باقات الإنترنت المنزلي الجديدة هذه أفضل خدمة ألياف ضوئية قدمناها على الإطلاق، فهي توفر للعملاء سرعات أعلى بنفس التكلفة الحالية، كما أن سرعة 10 جيجابت بالثانية غير متوفرة إلا في عدد قليل من البلدان حول العالم، أما في قطر فهي متوفرة لدى ooredoo فقط، وبالتأكيد فإن توفير هذه السرعات الفائقة يتماشى تماماً مع رؤيتنا المتمثلة في إثراء الحياة الرقمية للعملاء».
