Three reading initiatives at Doha International Book Fair launched

Doha: The Ministry of Culture and Sports has launched three initiatives: ‘Al Qari’ Al Kamin (Inner-Reader), Tadween (Codification) and Human Library’. The initiatives were launched today on the sidelines of the 29th Doha International Book Fair.
Director of Public Libraries and Heritage of Ministry of Culture and Sports Hareb Aljabri along a working team from the department presented the three initiatives.
The first Al Qari’ Al Kamin aims to help people who think their relation with books isn’t that great to discover their inner readers and improve their reading skills. This initiative comes along with ‘Murshid Al Qiraa’ service.
It will promote the dissemination of the culture of reading among all, with aim of reaching 100 beneficiaries through the Doha Book Fair as members of the reader’s potential initiative, working on the formation of reading groups through members commensurate with their tendencies, and launching Murshid Al Qiraa’ service to help the community to spread and promote the culture of reading in the State.
Tadween aims to enhance people’s codification skills and promoting personal experiences in order to become a source of knowledge at libraries, while Human Library is considering human beings as a source of knowledge.
شهد معرض الدوحة الدولي للكتاب تدشين ثلاث مبادرات جديدة لتشجيع أفراد المجتمع القطري على القراءة، وذلك من خلال إدارة المكتبات العامة والتراث بوزارة الثقافة والرياضة. وقال السيد حارب الجابري، مدير الإدارة: إن المبادرات الشبابية الثلاث عبارة عن “القارئ الكامن، المكتبة البشرية، ومبادرة تدوين”
وأعرب الجابري عن أمله في أن تثري المبادرات التي تم إعلانها خلال المنصة الثقافية بدوحة المعرفة والوجدان في حث المجتمع القطري، لتستهدف في البداية 100 مستهدف من خلال معرض الدوحة الدولي للكتاب.
ومن المتوقع أن تشهد دوحة المعرفة والوجدان بالمعرض إطلاق العديد من المبادرات الأخرى، التي تسهم في تنمية الوعي الثقافي والمعرفي بالمجتمع القطري.
