Temporary Partial Closure on Al Markhiya Street
إغلاق جزئي مؤقت على شارع المرخية
The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces that it will implement a temporary closure on Al Markhiya Street, in the section between Al Istiqlal Street and the street known as Al Jamiaa Street, in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic. The closure will be implemented as follows:
Part of one main lane on Al Markhiya St. in the direction from Al Jamiaa St. towards Al Istiqlal St. will be closed, while two main lanes will remain open to traffic as shown in the attached map, starting from Tuesday 20 December 2018 till Monday 7 January 2019.
Part of one of the two left-turn lanes heading from Al Markhiya St. to Al Jamiaa St. will be closed, while the other left-turn lane will remain open to traffic as shown in the attached map, from Thursday 20 December to Sunday 30 December.
This closure aims to enable the completion of the 2nd package of phase 2 for a project to develop stormwater drainage networks, through which stormwater drainage networks will be constructed in 51 locations in Doha City. These new networks will be linked to existing main drainage networks in the area, in addition to providing a stormwater storage and control areas.
Ashghal requests all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure their and others safety.
تعلن هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” عن تنفيذ إغلاق مؤقت على شارع المرخية في الجزء الواقع بين شارع الاستقلال والشارع المعروف بشارع الجامعة ، بالتنسيق مع الإدارة العامة للمرور، وذلك على النحو التالي:
إغلاق جزء من مسار رئيسي واحد على شارع المرخية بالاتجاه من شارع الجامعة إلى شارع الاستقلال، مع إبقاء مسارين رئيسيين مفتوحين للمرور كما هو موضح في الخريطة المرفقة، وذلك اعتباراً من الخميس 20 ديسمبر 2018 وحتى الاثنين 7 يناير 2019.
إغلاق جزء من أحد المسارين المتجهين يساراً من شارع المرخية إلى شارع الجامعة، وإبقاء المسار الآخر مفتوحاً للمرور كما هو موضح في الخريطة المرفقة، وذلك بدءً من الخميس 20 ديسمبر وحتى الأحد 30 ديسمبر 2018.
يهدف هذا الإغلاق إلى إتاحة المجال لاستكمال تنفيذ أعمال الحزمة الثانية من المرحلة الثانية لمشروع تطوير شبكات تصريف مياه الأمطار، الذي سيتم من خلاله إنشاء شبكات لتصريف مياه الأمطار في 51 منطقة في مدينة الدوحة. وسيتم ربط هذه الشبكات الجديدة بالشبكات الرئيسية القائمة بالمنطقة، بالإضافة إلى توفير مناطق لتخزين مياه الأمطار والتحكم بتصريفها.
وتهيب هيئة الأشغال العامة بجميع مستخدمي الطريق الالتزام بحدود السرعة المسموحة واتباع اللوحات الإرشادية حفاظاً على سلامتهم.
