Qatar Armed Forces provide Mali’s army with several armored vehicles

Doha: The Air Transport Wing of the Amiri Air Force transported today 24 military armored personnel carriers on board three C-17 military aircraft to the Republic of Mali.

This mission is part of the efforts of the State of Qatar, represented by Qatar Armed Forces, to contribute to supporting the peace process and laying the foundations for stability in the Republic of Mali.

Such efforts will also contribute to strengthening international efforts to combat terrorism and establish security not only in the Republic of Mali but also in the Sahel countries known as the G5. The airlift operations were overseen by a number of senior officers of the Qatar Armed Forces.

قام جناح النقل الجوي بالقوات الجوية الأميرية القطرية، صباح أمس، بنقل شحنة من 24 سيارة عسكرية مصفحة (ناقلة جنود) على متن 3 طائرات عسكرية من طراز «سي 17) إلى جمهورية مالي الصديقة.

تأتي هذه المهمة ضمن الجهود التي تبذلها دولة قطر، متمثلة في القوات المسلحة القطرية، للمساهمة في دعم عملية السلام، وإرساء أسس الاستقرار في جمهورية مالي الصديقة.

كما أن من شأن هذه الجهود تدعيم المساعي الدولية الحثيثة لمكافحة الإرهاب واستتباب الأمن، ليس في جمهورية مالي وحدها، بل في دول الساحل الإفريقي المعروفة بـ G5.
