Aspire Zone Foundation announces week-long celebrations from today

Doha: Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) will commence a week-long series of events from today to celebrate Qatar National Day, the day the nation celebrates its pride and solidarity.

The festivities will begin with the arrival of Al Adaam Flag Relay, organised by the Qatar Olympic Committee in collaboration with AZF. The relay will culminate in a Grand Finale tomorrow at Aspire Park from 6PM– 7:30 PM in the presence of VIP dignitaries.

Attendees will also be treated to a Military Parade by members of the Qatar Armed Forces’ National Service. This will take place on Aspire Lake tomorrow from 6 PM to 9 PM and from 4 PM to 6 PM between December 14 and 18. Another highlight will be an intricate parasailing performance conducted by the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), which will descend from the sky in different formations into the park behind the lake near Al Furousiya Street.

This year’s celebrations at Aspire will also see one of the largest fireworks in Qatar take place. This can be viewed across Aspire Park between 8:30PM and 9PM on December 17.

Among the other events planned is a celebration for AZF employees comprised of a range of cultural activities, including the traditional “Ardha” sword dance, performed by Aspire Academy student-athletes. The programme will also feature 16 booths that will offer the chance to try a wide array of food choices and activities, including live cooking demonstrations, pop up photo studios, and henna designs, all delivered in collaboration with the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs.

AZF has allocated an exclusive corner for children to enjoy a variety of games in collaboration with 7th Heaven Arts Centre. On the side-lines of the event and in collaboration with Doha Film Institute, films produced by Qatari film makers will also be screened for audiences to enjoy throughout the week.

وسوف تنطلق إشارة بدء الاحتفالات في «أسباير زون» بوصول جولة العلم التي تنظمها اللجنة الأولمبية القطرية إلى محطتها الأخيرة بحديقة «أسباير»، بجوار البحيرة من الساعة 6 – 7:30 مساء، بحضور كبار الشخصيات العامة والرياضية بالدولة.

المسير العسكري

وستكون الجماهير على موعد مع المسير العسكري لمنتسبي الخدمة الوطنية التابع للقوات المسلحة القطرية 6 – 9 مساء اليوم، ومن 4 – 6 مساء خلال الفترة من 14 – 18 ديسمبر الحالي حول بحيرة أسباير.

ولأول مرة خلال احتفالات أسباير زون باليوم الوطني، تنظم المؤسسة عروضاً مبهرة للألعاب النارية بحديقة أسباير، الاثنين المقبل، وينطلق من منتصف الحديقة في أحد أضخم العروض في الدولة.

وسوف تشهد الجهة المقابلة لشارع الفروسية من حديقة أسباير هبوطاً مظلياً وعروضاً جوية لتحلق صقور لخويا في تقليد سنوي متبع في كل عام.

وقد خصصت المؤسسة، المنطقة المحاذية لبحيرة أسباير لتكون مقر الفعاليات هذا العام، حيث من المقرر أن يتواجد ما يزيد عن 16 موقعاً مخصصاً للأنشطة الثقافية والتراثية المتنوعة بالتعاون مع وزارة التنمية الإدارية والعمل والشؤون الاجتماعية، وعدد من المعارض الفنية المصغرة بالتعاون مع مطافئ «مقر الفنانين».

وتتواصل تلك الفعاليات من 13 – 18 ديسمبر اعتباراً من 2 ظهراً حتى 10 مساء، ويحظى الأطفال بنصيب من فعاليات «أسباير»، كما خصصت المؤسسة يوماً احتفالياً لموظفيها لإحياء تقاليد الآباء بداية من صباح الاثنين المقبل عبر تنظيم عدد من الفعاليات التراثية والثقافية المخصصة للموظفين كالعرضة القطرية بمشاركة طلاب أكاديمية أسباير الرياضيين، بالإضافة إلى تواجد عدد من الفعاليات التراثية والترفيهية لأفراد العائلة كالرسم بالحناء ومجلس تقليدي لاستقبال الضيوف.

عروض سينمائية تحت ضوء النجوم بالتعاون مع مؤسسة الدوحة للأفلام

وتشهد حديقة أسباير بالتعاون مع مؤسسة الدوحة للأفلام مجموعة من العروض المنوعة، خلال الأسبوع لعدد من الأفلام القصيرة التي تتمحور فكرتها حول قطر بين الماضي والحاضر بعيون شبابها.;
