Amir receives invitation to attend Arab Summit

Doha: The Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a written message from the President of Tunisia Beji Kayed Sibsi today, inviting the Amir to attend the 30th ordinary session of the Arab Summit to be held in Tunisia in March 2019.

The message was delivered by the Tunisian Defense Minister Abdelkareem Zubaidi when the Amir met him at the Amiri Diwan office on Monday morning.

At the outset of the meeting, the Tunisian Defense Minister conveyed the greetings of the President of Tunisia and his wishes of further health and happiness to the Amir and to the people of Qatar further progress and prosperity.

The Amir entrusted the Minister to convey his greetings and wishes of good health to the Tunisian President and more progress and prosperity to the Tunisian people.

The meeting also reviewed the fraternal relations and cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Tunisia and means of enhancing them.

تسلّم حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، رسالة خطية من أخيه فخامة الرئيس الباجي قايد السبسي رئيس الجمهورية التونسية الشقيقة، تتضمن دعوة سموه لحضور الدورة العادية الثلاثين للقمة العربية التي ستنعقد في تونس، في شهر مارس 2019.

قام بتسليم الدعوة سعادة السيد عبدالكريم الزبيدي وزير الدفاع الوطني التونسي، خلال استقبال سمو الأمير له بمكتبه في الديوان الأميري، صباح أمس.

وكان سعادة وزير الدفاع الوطني، في بداية المقابلة، قد نقل لسمو الأمير تحيات أخيه فخامة الرئيس التونسي، وتمنياته لسموه موفور الصحة والسعادة، وللشعب القطري المزيد من التقدم والازدهار، فيما حمله سمو الأمير المفدى تحياته لأخيه فخامة الرئيس، وتمنياته له وافر الصحة والعافية، وللشعب التونسي الشقيق دوام التطور والنماء.

كما جرى خلال المقابلة استعراض علاقات الأخوة والتعاون بين قطر وتونس، وسبل تعزيزها.;
