القوات البرية الأميرية تختتم تمرين «الفهد 2018»
DOHA: The Emiri Land Forces have concluded the “Fahad Exercise 2018”, which was held under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, H E Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah.
The drill lasted nearly two months at the Qallayl Square.
The closing ceremony of the “Fahad Exercise2018” was attended by Major General Mohammed bin Ali Al Ghanem, Commander of the Emiri Land Forces and a number of senior officers of the armed forces.
One of the most important objectives of the exercise was to train the battalion in the command, control and communications system to achieve the combat readiness of the battalion for reconnaissance operations and to pass information and orders for the various units of the Jassim bin Mohammed Brigade, in addition to conducting joint operations day and night.
The exercise also included the use of several mechanisms and modern weapons, including reconnaissance / FNIC / AC / anti-armor, Jafflin, PZH2000 / Hautzer, Rastmeh rockets / Astors 2 / and the tank / Leopard + A7 / radar reconnaissance and artillery.
Lt. Col. Fahd Ahmad Al Qahtani, Director of Fahad Exercise 2018, said : “This exercise is an integrated one , in which modern systems joined the maneuvering, reconnaissance and firefighting units of the Emiri Land Forces, which focus on the command and control systems and achieved the desired objectives of the exercise.
اختتمت القوات البرية الأميرية تمرين “الفهد 2018” والذي أقيم تحت رعاية سعادة الدكتور خالد بن محمد العطية نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الدولة لشؤون الدفاع، واستمر قرابة الشهرين بميدان القلايل.
حضر فعاليات الختام اللواء الركن محمد بن علي الغانم قائد القوات البرية الأميرية وعدد من كبار الضباط في القوات المسلحة.
ومن أهم الأهداف التي تناولها التمرين، تدريب الكتيبة على نظام القيادة والسيطرة والاتصالات وذلك تحقيق الجاهزية القتالية للكتيبة على عمليات الاستطلاع وتمرير المعلومات والأوامر على مختلف وحدات لواء جاسم بن محمد، بالإضافة للقيام بعمليات مشتركة ليلا ونهارا.
كما تضمن التمرين استخدام العديد من الآليات والأسلحة الحديثة منها آلية الاستطلاع “الفينيك” وسلاح الميلان “ER” مضاد للدروع وسلاح الجافلين والمدفع “PZH2000” هاوتزر وراجمة الصواريخ “استورس 2” والدبابة “ليوبارد +A7” ورادارات الاستطلاع والاستمكان المدفعي .
وذكر المقدم الركن فهد أحمد القحطاني مدير تمرين “الفهد 2018” ، أن هذا التمرين يعتبر تمرينا متكاملا، حيث شاركت فيه المنظومات الحديثة التي انضمت لوحدات المناورة والاستطلاع والإسناد الناري للقوات البرية الأميرية، والتي تتركز على أنظمت القيادة والسيطرة، مؤكدا أنها حققت بحمد الله جميع الأهداف المرجوة من التمرين.
