5 Hour-Temporary Closure on Part of Service Road Leading to Al Gharrafa Roundabout
إغلاق مؤقت لمدة 5 ساعات لجزء من طريق الخدمات المؤدي لدوار الغرافة
The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces the implementation of a temporary closure on part of the service road of Al Shamal Road leading to Al Gharrafa Roundabout (Immigration RA), starting from Thursday 6 December 2018 between 12:00am and 5:00am for four nights, 6th, 7th ,8th ,14th of December, in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic. The service road will be completely open to traffic during the day, except for Friday 7 December; two out of the three lanes of the service road will be opened to traffic.
During this period, traffic will be diverted to Al Luqta Street through Abdul Rahman Bin Awf Street, as shown in the attached map.
Motorists who wish to turn left or make a U-Turn at the roundabout, are advised to drive through Al Luqta Street and make a U-turn.
The diversion aims to enable asphalt works as part of Phase 1 of Ashghal project aiming to convert Immigration R/A to an intersection and to develop parts of service roads on 22 February Road, in order to improve traffic movement and increase the intersection’s capacity.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the closure.
Ashghal requests all road users to abide by the speed limit, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
تعلن هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” عن تنفيذ إغلاق مؤقت لجزء من طريق الخدمات على طريق الشمال المؤدي لدوار الغرافة (دوار الجوازات) وذلك اعتباراً من الخميس 6 ديسمبر 2018 من الساعة 12 صباحاً وحتى الساعة 5 صباحاً لمدة أربعة أيام 6 و7 و8 و 14 ديسمبر، وبالتنسيق مع الإدارة العامة للمرور. سيكون طريق الخدمات مفتوحًا تمامًا أمام الحركة المرورية خلال اليوم، باستثناء يوم الجمعة 7 ديسمبر؛ سيتم فتح مسارين من أصل ثلاثة بطريق الخدمات.
خلال هذه الفترة سيتم تحويل الحركة المرورية إلى شارع اللقطة من خلال شارع عبد الرحمن بن عوف، كما هو موضح في الخريطة المرفقة.
على قائدي المركبات الراغبين في الاتجاه يساراً لشارع خليفة أو الالتفاف والعودة، القيادة عبر شارع اللقطة ثم الالتفاف والعودة.
يهدف التحويل المروري إلى إتاحة المجال لتنفيذ أعمال الأسفلت ضمن المرحلة الأولى من مشروع تحويل دوار الغرافة إلى تقاطع وتطوير أجزاء من الشوارع الخدمية لطريق 22 فبراير، والذي يهدف إلى تحسين الحركة المرورية وزيادة الطاقة الاستيعابية للتقاطع.
ستقوم هيئة الأشغال العامة بتركيب اللوحات الإرشادية لتنبيه مستخدمي الطريق بهذا التغيير المروري، وتهيب بجميع مستخدمي الطريق الالتزام بحدود السرعة المسموحة واتباع اللوحات الإرشادية حفاظاً على سلامتهم.
