GBI and Vodafone Qatar sign agreement

Gulf Bridge International (GBI) signed yesterday a new long-term agreement on top of its existing partnership with Vodafone Qatar that will provide the telecommunications company with IP transit service, International SDH and Global Ethernet from Qatar to Europe and Asia.

The latter has the ability to grow further with the increase in consumer and enterprise demand, capitalising on GBI’s strategic connectivity corridors. This agreement is set to enhance the strategic business alliance between the two companies.

The GBI solution will offer Vodafone Qatar’s consumers and businesses secure connectivity that will serve Vodafone Qatar’s high Internet and data demand locally and globally. The GBI network enhances reliability and business continuity and the north route guarantees access to European content. This is all supported by GBI’s 24/7 Network Operation Centre.

Abdulla al-Ruwali, executive director and managing director of GBI said, “We are excited to be extending our partnership with Vodafone Qatar and working closely together

on delivering value to our customers.

“As demonstrated by this agreement, we are looking forward to building sustainable, long-term partnerships with global leaders, with the ultimate goal of bringing the experience to our partners and end-users with the unique GBI network spread.”

أعلنت شركة جلف بريدج إنترناشونال (جي بي آي)، أمس، توقيع اتفاقية جديدة طويلة الأمد، تضاف إلى شراكتها القائمة مع شركة فودافون قطر، وهي اتفاقية من شأنها أن توفر لشركة فودافون خدمات الإنترنت فائق السرعة وخطوط ربط دولية تربط قطر بآسيا وأوروبا عبر مسار الربط الشمالي؛ مما يمنح شركة فودافون القدرة على النمو واستيعاب الطلب المتزايد من جانب العملاء ومؤسسات الأعمال، وذلك بالاستثمار في ممرات الربط الاستراتيجية لشركة «جي بي آي». وتهدف هذه الاتفاقية إلى تعزيز التحالف التجاري والاستراتيجي بين الشركتين.

وسيزود هذا الحل التقني المقدم من شركة «جي بي آي» عملاء شركة فودافون قطر ومؤسسات الأعمال الخاصة بها باتصال آمن يلبّي الطلب المتزايد على الإنترنت والبيانات محلياً وعالمياً. وتعمل شبكة «جي بي آي» على تعزيز الموثوقية واستمرارية الأعمال، كما أن المسار الشمالي لشبكة «جي بي آي» يضمن الوصول إلى المحتوى الأوروبي، كل ذلك بدعم من مركز تشغيل شبكة «جي بي آي» الذي يعمل على مدار الساعة.

توسيع

من جانبه، صرح السيد عبدالله الرويلي، المدير التنفيذي والعضو المنتدب لشركة «جي بي آي»، قائلاً: «نحن متحمسون لتوسيع شراكتنا مع فودافون قطر والعمل والتعاون معاً لتقديم أفضل قيمة لعملائنا. وكما يتضح من هذه الاتفاقية، فإننا نتطلع إلى بناء شراكات مستدامة وطويلة الأمد مع الشركات العالمية الرائدة في هذا القطاع لتحقيق هدفنا الأسمى وهو تقديم خبرتنا المتميزة لشركائنا والمستخدمين النهائيين ومواكبة الانتشار الفريد من نوعه لشبكة جي بي آي».

خطوة قوية

ومن جانبه، أشار الشيخ حمد بن عبدالله آل ثاني، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة فودافون قطر إلى أن «إعلاننا اليوم مع شركة (جي بي آي) يعدّ خطوة قوية تضاف إلى مساعينا المتواصلة والحثيثة لتقديم خدمة عالمية المستوى لعملائنا من شبكات الجوال والثابت. كما أن الشراكة تمثل فرصة لتوسيع نطاق أعمالنا، حيث نركز كل طاقاتنا المشتركة لخدمة قاعدة أوسع من العملاء».;
