QU Teams Record Outstanding Results in 8th World InterUniversities Championships

Paris: The Qatar University (QU) teams achieved outstanding results during the 8th edition of the World InterUniversities Championships (WIUC) which was recently held in France with the participation of 75 universities representing 28 countries and more than 3,600 male and female students.
The Qatar University teams succeeded in achieving good results in this championship, with Mohammed Khalil bin Shaaban winning two gold medals in the 200-meter medley and 200-meter freestyle, while Youssef Al Khulaifi won fourth place in the 50-meter breaststroke.
The university’s volleyball team was able to reach the final and won second place, while the football team qualified for the semi-finals.

باريس: حققت فرق جامعة قطر نتائج متميزة خلال النسخة الثامنة من بطولة العالم للجامعات، التي أقيمت مؤخرا بفرنسا، بمشاركة 75 جامعة ممثلة لـ 28 دولة، وأكثر من 3600 طالب وطالبة.
ونجحت فرق جامعة قطر في تحقيق نتائج جيدة في هذه البطولة، بفوز محمد خليل بن شعبان بميداليتين ذهبيتين في منافسات سباق 200 متر سباحة متنوع، و200 متر سباحة حرة، فيما أحرز يوسف الخليفي المركز الرابع في سباق 50 متر صدر، واستطاع فريق الجامعة لكرة الطائرة الوصول إلى المباراة النهائية والفوز بالمركز الثاني، بينما تأهل فريق كرة القدم إلى الدور نصف النهائي.
