A Temporary Closure of Two Lanes on Al Istiqlal Street in Both Directions
إغلاق مؤقت لمسارين بشارع الاستقلال في الاتجاهين
The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces the implementation of a temporary closure of two lanes on Al Istiqlal Street in both directions between 5/6 Interchange and Onaiza Intersection (known as the Qatar Club Intersection).
The other two lanes on Al Istiqlal Street will remain open to traffic, as shown in the attached map.
The closure starts on Tuesday 16 October and will last until 23 October 2018, in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
The closure aims to pave the last layer of asphalt on Al Istiqlal Street and will be implemented in two phases to ensure a free traffic flow.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the changes on the road. ‘Ashghal’ requests all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
تعلن هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” عن تنفيذ إغلاق مؤقت لمسارين بشارع الاستقلال في كلا الاتجاهين بين تقاطع “5/6” وتقاطع عنيزة (المعروف بتقاطع نادي قطر). خلال هذه المدة سيتم الإبقاء على المسارين الآخرين بشارع الاستقلال مفتوحين أمام حركة المرور، كما هو موضح في الخريطة المرفقة.
يبدأ الإغلاق صباح الثلاثاء 16 أكتوبر ويستمر حتى 23 أكتوبر 2018، وذلك بالتنسيق مع الإدارة العامة للمرور.
يهدف الإغلاق إلى إتاحة المجال لرصف الطبقة الأخيرة من الاسفلت بشارع الاستقلال، وسيتم تنفيذه من خلال مرحلتين لضمان إنسيابية الحركة المرورية.
ستقوم هيئة الأشغال العامة بتركيب اللوحات الإرشادية لتنبيه مستخدمي الطريق بهذا التغيير المروري، وتهيب بجميع مستخدمي الطريق الالتزام بحدود السرعة المسموحة واتباع اللوحات الإرشادية حفاظاً على سلامتهم.
