Vodafone sponsors ‘Qatari Success 2’ fest

Vodafone Qatar has announced that it will be the Platinum Sponsor of the ‘Qatari Success 2’ festival taking place from September 13 to 15 at Qatar National Convention Centre.

Now in its second edition, the festival supports Qatari youth and Qatari small and home businesses by showcasing their talents, success stories, and products. Banking on the trends, the festival will feature local coffee shops and an exhibition area where more than 90 small and home businesses will display their products for three days.

The festival’s forum includes a debate by Qatar’s leading social media influencers, poetry recitals, and stand-up comedy shows, among others.

Following the switching on of its 5G network last month, Vodafone Qatar will also give visitors to the festival a glimpse into the future of how 5G will enhance the lives of the country’s residents and support Qatar’s progress.

Using an Augmented Reality showcase, people will experience a number of possible applications of 5G technology in sectors such as healthcare, sports, agriculture and transportation.

Vodafone Qatar External Affairs director Mohamed al-Yami said, “Vodafone Qatar is proud to support our country’s youth at such a great showcase of Qatari determination, hard work and success.

“Technology and innovation will play an important role in realising the Qatar National Vision 2030 and we are committed to playing a pivotal role in this journey by providing a world-class telecommunications infrastructure and delivering technological breakthroughs that will ensure Qatar is one of the most connected countries in the world.”

Festival organiser Faisal al-Otaibi added, “We thank Vodafone Qatar for being the sole telecommunications company to sponsor two consecutive editions of the Qatari Success festival. We are grateful for all their cooperation and the provision of financial, moral and publicity assistance to Qatari youth.”

ويهدف المهرجان إلى دعم الشباب القطري والشركات الوطنية الصغيرة من خلال استعراض مواهبهم، وقصص نجاحاتهم، ومنتجاتهم. وبالاستناد إلى التوجهات العصرية، سيضم المهرجان مقاهٍ محلية ومنطقة معارض تقدم من خلالها أكثر من 90 شركة وطنية صغيرة منتجاتها على مدى الأيام الثلاثة للمهرجان. كما ستتضمن منتديات المهرجان ملتقى يجمع تحت مظلته أكثر الأشخاص تأثيراً على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي في دولة قطر، وأمسيات شعرية، وعروض للكوميديا الحية، وغيرها الكثير. وعقب الإطلاق الرسمي لأولى شبكاتها الحية من الجيل الخامس 5G الشهر الماضي، ستقدم «فودافون قطر» لزوار المهرجان أيضاً لمحة عن كيفية مساهمة تلك التقنية في تعزيز حياة السكان مستقبلاً ودعم التقدم الذي تشهده دولة قطر. ومن خلال عرض باستخدام تقنية الواقع المعزز؛ سيختبر الزوار عدداً من التطبيقات الممكنة لتقنية الجيل الخامس في العديد من المجالات، مثل الرعاية الصحية، والرياضة، والزراعة، والنقل. وبهذه المناسبة؛ قال السيد محمد مهدي اليامي، المدير التنفيذي للشؤون الخارجية لشركة «فودافون قطر»: «تفخر شركة ’فودافون قطر‘ بدعم شبابنا من خلال مثل هذا المهرجان الرائع الذي يسلط الضوء على القيم القطرية المتمثلة في العزيمة والإصرار والجهود الدؤوبة والسعي للنجاح. وستلعب التكنولوجيا والابتكار دوراً مهماً في تحقيق ’رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030‘، ونحن ملتزمون بلعب دور محوري في مسيرة الرؤية عبر توفير بنية تحتية بمواصفات عالمية في مجال الاتصالات والابتكارات التكنولوجية، والتي تضمن تحوُّل قطر إلى واحدة من أكثر بلدان العالم اتصالاً على الصعيد الرقمي».
