Qatar promotes cultural exchanges with Russia at Moscow book fair
تعزيز التبادل الثقافي بين قطر وروسيا في ختام معرض موسكو للكتاب
Qatar participated in the 31st edition of the Moscow International Book Fair and its participation was an opportunity to promote cultural exchanges and enhance cultural relations with the Russian Federation as well as celebrate the relevant ties through partnerships between the major Qatari and Russian cultural organisations.
The Qatari participation in the exhibition included a pavilion of the Ministry of Culture and Sports in co-operation with its partners – Qatar Museums, Hamad Bin Khalifa University Press, Rosa Publishing House and Lusail Publishing House. It was within the framework of the Qatar-Russia 2018 Year of Culture.
Qatar ambassador to the Russian Federation Fahad bin Mohammed al-Attiyah said Qatar is making great efforts to develop the publishing industry, and “we are pleased that the Qatari books are available in Russian language, which contributes to increasing cultural exchange between the two countries and achieving the main objective of the Qatar-Russia 2018 Year of Culture”.
The Qatari pavilion at the book fair witnessed a public interaction with the events organised during its participation in the five-day exhibition, attracting visitors who confirmed that they contributed to their knowledge of aspects of the cultural landscape in Qatar.
جاءت المشاركة القطرية في النسخة الحادية والثلاثين لمعرض موسكو الدولي للكتاب، فرصة لزيادة لتبادل الثقافي وتعزيز العلاقات الثقافية بين دولة قطر وجمهورية روسيا الاتحادية، والاحتفاء بالروابط ذات الصلة، من خلال الشراكات بين المنظمات الثقافية القطرية والروسية الرئيسية.
وأتت المشاركة القطرية في المعرض ممثلة في جناح لوزارة الثقافة والرياضة، بالتعاون مع شركائها، متاحف قطر، دار جامعة حمد بن خليفة للنشر، دار روزا للنشر، دار لوسيل للنشر، وفي إطار العام الثقافي قطر – روسيا 2018.
وحول أهمية هذه المشاركة قال سعادة السيد فهد بن محمد العطية، سفير دولة قطر لدى روسيا الاتحادية، في بيان صادر عن وزارة الثقافة اليوم :” تبذل دولة قطر جهودًا كبيرة لتطوير صناعة نشر الكتب، ويسرنا أن الكتب القطرية متوفرة باللغة الروسية، الأمر الذي يساهم في زيادة التبادل الثقافي بين الدولتين وتحقيق الهدف الرئيسي للسنة الثقافية قطر- روسيا 2018 “.
وكان الجناح القطري المشارك في معرض موسكو الدولي للكتاب قد شهد تفاعلا جماهيريا مع الفعاليات التي نظمها الجناح خلال مشاركته بالمعرض الذي استمر خمسة أيام، حيث استقطب الزائرين الذين أكدوا أنه أسهم في تعريفهم بجوانب من المشهد الثقافي بدولة قطر.
الجدير بالذكر أن العام الثقافي قطر – روسيا ما زال يتضمن العديد من الفعاليات الثقافية في كلا البلدين والتي تهدف إلى تعريف كلا الشعبين بثقافة الآخر.
