Ministry hosting Chinese martial arts performance

The Ministry of Culture and Sports is hosting a Chinese martial arts performance by the Shaolin Kungfu Monk Corps at Qatar National Theatre this evening in co-operation with the Chinese embassy in Doha.
The event is being held to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Qatar and China, the ministry has said in a statement.
Senior officials from the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Chinese embassy are expected to attend the event along with a number of heads of diplomatic missions in the state.
The ceremony underscores the deep relations between Qatar and China in various fields, including culture. There is mutual recognition of each other’s culture, which further highlights the good relations between the two peoples, the statement notes.
Qatar’s hosting of Chinese cultural events has been continuing since the Qatar-China Year of Culture, which was observed in 2016 and featured a number of events organised in both countries.
The ministry will participate in today’s event through some artistic and musical performances based on Qatari culture.
There will be a presentation of Chinese martial arts by a group from the country, highlighting various nuances of Chinese culture. The Wushu show will cover different aspects of Chinese martial arts, including Ba Duan Jing – a traditional Chinese health and fitness exercise dating back to the Song Dynasty (960-1279), traditional Shaolin boxing and others.
تستضيف وزارة الثقافة والرياضة اليوم استعراضا فنيا صينا للألعاب القتالية التقليدية في الصين، وذلك على خشبة مسرح قطر الوطني احتفالا بمرور 30 عاما على العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين دولة قطر قطر وجمهورية الصين الشعبية.
يحضر اللقاء كبار المسؤولين في وزارة الثقافة والرياضة وسعادة السيد لي تشي سفير جمهورية الصين الشعبية المعتمد لدى الدولة وعدد من رؤساء البعثات الدبلوماسية المعتمدين لدى الدولة.
ويأتي الحفل تأكيدا على عمق العلاقات بين قطر والصين في مختلف المجالات بين البلدين وخاصة المجال الثقافي، حيث يتعرف كل جانب على ثقافة الآخر تأكيدا على العلاقات الطيبة التي تجمع بين الشعبين، كما أن استضافة قطر للفعاليات الثقافية الصينية متواصلة منذ أقيم العام الثقافي قطر- الصين في 2016، والذي تضمن العديد من الفعاليات المشتركة في كلا البلدين.
وتشارك فيه وزارة الثقافة والرياضة خلال الحفل بعروض فنية وموسيقية تعبر عن الفنون القطرية، كما تقدم فرقة صينية مجموعة من الألعاب القتالية المميزة، والتي تعبر بدورها عن جانب من الثقافة الصينية.
ويتضمن العرض الصيني لفرقة “وو شو” العديد من الفنون القتالية الصينية ومنها فنون البادوانجين، وهي الممارسة الروتينية التقليدية الصينية للصحة واللياقة البدنية التي تعود إلى عهد أسرة سونغ (960-1279)، وفنون المصارعة ووالكنغوفو، وملاكمة شاولين التقليدية ، التي تم إنشاؤها خلال ولايات الشمال والجنوب، ويرجع تاريخها لأكثر من ألف سنة، فضلا عن التعرف على فنون الدفاع عن النفس وكيفية استخدام العصا عند شاولين في مواجهة الأسلحة، وفنون شاولين العسكرية وغيرها من فنون قتالية تقليدية انتشرت في الصين.
