MoPH announces 238 new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)

وزارة الصحة العامة تعلن تسجيل ٢٣٨ حالات إصابة جديدة بفيروس كورونا ٢٠١٩ (كوفيد ١٩)

The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) announced today the registration of 238 new confirmed cases of coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) in the State of Qatar for residents who had contact with the three cases announced last Sunday. 

MOPH has declared that the new confirmed cases were registered from those who were in quarantine as part of the precautionary measures after confirming three residents with the infection, which prevented them from contacting other members of the society. The total number of confirmed coronavirus in Qatar reached 262 so far.

The Ministry said that the number of cases is likely to increase among those who had contact with the previously announced expatriate patients. The Ministry reassures all members of the public that all of the patients’ contacts have been quarantined and are being tested to ensure they are free from infection. The Ministry confirmed that all patients have been admitted to the hospital under complete isolation and affirmed that all patients are in a stable health condition and are receiving medical care as appropriate.

The ministry urges all members of the public to take all preventative measures to ensure their safety and that of the community and to refer to the Ministry’s website for more information and the latest developments on COVID-19. The MOPH has also set up a dedicated, round-the-clock call center to answer all questions and inquiries related to COVID-19. The hotline number is 16000 and is toll-free.

أعلنت وزارة الصحة العامة اليوم عن تسجيل ٢٣٨ حالة اصابة جديدة مؤكدة بفيروس كورونا 2019 (كوفيد-19) في دولة قطر لوافدين من المخالطين للحالات الثلاث التي تم الإعلان عن اصابتهم بالفيروس يوم الأحد الماضي ممن يقيمون بمجمع سكني واحد، وأوضحت الوزارة أن الحالات الجديدة التي تم تسجيلها هم من الذين كانوا يخضعون للحجر الصحي ضمن الإجراءات الاحترازية منذ اكتشاف اصابة الوافدين الثلاثة، الأمر الذي منع من مخالطتهم لبقية أفراد المجتمع، ليصل بذلك عدد حالات الاصابة المؤكدة بالفيروس في البلاد الى ٢٦٢ حالة حتى الآن.

وتفيد وزارة الصحة العامة بأنه من المرجّح ارتفاع عدد المصابين بالفيروس وسط المخالطين للمرضى الوافدين الذين تم الاعلان عنهم سابقا، والخاضعين للحجر الصحي داعية أفراد المجتمع الى الاطمئنان حيث انه كافة الحالات المعلنة تتمتع بحاله صحية جيدة جدا ويتلقون الرعاية الطبية بمركز الأمراض الانتقالية.
