Deputy Amir assesses progress of Doha Metro project
نائب الأمير يتفقد مشروع مترو الدوحة
His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani on Thursday assessed the progress of the Doha Metro project.
During a visit, the Deputy Amir was briefed on the latest developments with regard to the project and its facilities. He listened to a detailed presentation on the operational mechanisms and the technical capabilities of the station.
The Deputy Amir also visited the Ras Abu Fontas station to assess latest developments there.
He visited the main maintenance centre of the Abu Fontas area, as well as the main control units of the metro.
The Deputy Amir also checked the Pedestrian bridges related to the project.
During the visit, the Deputy Amir was accompanied HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, and a number of ministers and ranking officials of Qatar Rail.
قام سمو الشيخ عبدالله بن حمد آل ثاني نائب الأمير، بزيارة تفقدية لمشروع مترو الدوحة صباح أمس.
وخلال الزيارة، اطلع سموه على سير العمل وعلى آخر الإنجازات التي تحققت في هذا المشروع، وعلى ما يحتويه من مرافق، كما استمع سموه إلى شرح مفصل حول آلية التشغيل والقدرات الفنية والسعة الاستيعابية للمحطة.
وقام سموه بعد ذلك بجولة تفقدية في محطة «راس بوفنطاس»، حيث اطلع على سير العمل واختبارات المترو، كما تفقد مركز الصيانة الرئيسي لمترو الدوحة لمنطقة «راس بوفنطاس» ومبنى التحكم الرئيسي لشبكات مترو الدوحة، واستمع سموه لشرح حول أنظمة المراقبة والتحكم وآلية التشغيل، كما تفقد سموه جسور المشاة المرتبطة بها.
رافق سمو نائب الأمير خلال الزيارة معالي الشيخ عبدالله بن ناصر بن خليفة آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية، وعدد من أصحاب السعادة الوزراء وكبار المسؤولين بشركة الريل.
